Very disappointing! Restaurant was not crowded but it took an unusually long time to get our food after we ordered. It was very short-staffed. Muscles and calamari appetizers were good. Hamburger was fine. Remainder of dishes were not good or even inedible: Lobster bisque was extremely salty and spicy. Lobster ravioli was very spicy. Chicken francaise was mushy and tasteless. Mac and cheese inexplicably had onions, but little taste. Shrimp scampi was served with no sauce at all. On request sauce was brought, but it had onions and was tasteless. I don't know what was going on in the kitchen. But unfortunately we won't be back.

We had my sister’s rehearsal dinner at Hudson Anchor and it was lovely. Such a cute space, affordable, and not to mention delicious. Everyone was stuffed! Gary was extremely accommodating and responsive to assist with planning the event at his restaurant. My family and friends had a lovely time and I would absolutely love to go back once it gets a little warmer out and have drinks/dinner on the rooftop deck!

Delightful and cozy restaurant with delectable dishes! White sangria, New England clam chowder, calamari, and Lobster Ravioli in Vodka Sauce were all excellent choices. We would have loved to sit on the outside deck if the weather was better., but we still had a great time upstairs. The menu options looked incredible and our server provided exceptional service. We enjoyed Tartuffo for dessert at the recommendation of our server.

Met a group of former work colleagues at Hudson Anchor on a Weds night. Nice informal atmosphere. We were seated on the second floor that had an outdoor patio (we sat indoors). Wait staff was friendly and attentive. Good selection of beers. I had New England clam chowder that was very good. The salmon over mashed potatoes and asparagus was also very good. My only negative was that two menu items, including the one I wanted, were not available.

Thank you, Gary, Chef and Catherine for a wonderful duo birthday celebration for my husband and myself. Food was great, as always and server Catherine was most attentive. We had Brussel sprouts as appetizer, salmon and filet of sole for dinner and split a really rich chocolate cake with ice cream for dessert. Wonderful place with nautical decor, great food!

Hello, Hudson Anchor is a terrific place to be. Accommodating, quaint, cozy restaurant. I was there last night celebrating the Holiday Spirit with 6 other girls. We had a blast. Food was excellent, drinks were delicious and the staff were excellent. Highly recommend to anyone. We will definitely be back in 2024. 5 stars for me.

My wife and I dined here with our friend on a quiet Saturday evening after a performance at the Lyndhurst Mansion. We did not get to enjoy the view. We scored a table upstairs where it was nice, cozy, and comfortable. We began our meal with the Brussel sprouts. Portion was very generous and the sprouts were cooked to perfection. The siracha honey, toasted peanuts, and shredded coconut, made the dish really tasty. The plate went back naked. Our entrées consisted of the fish & chips, the burrata salad with chicken, and the salmon with mash potatoes. This might have been the best fish and chips I ever had. I don't have it often because it is usually bland, not worth it, and not the healthiest dish. The portion was huge and the fish and fries were seasoned nicely. It wasn't overly greasy. Loved it. My wife loved her burrata salad, and our friend enjoyed her salmon. Empty plates and no room for dessert. The prices were very reasonable and the service was excellent and friendly. There is ample parking on the street. The restrooms are clean which means the kitchen is mostly likely clean. We are already talking about going back in a few weeks.

Terrible experience in the summer. We went while the place was empty and we were dining on the rooftop outside and got swarmed by bees. My girlfriend went downstairs to explain the situation and asked if we could get some help to move inside to which multiple members of staff said yes. 15-minutes passed and NO ONE comes up, while we’re still being bombarded by bees. This time I decide to go down myself to ask again for some help and there’s 0 staff around.Since the place was empty we moved our food and drinks ourselves. Afterwards, nobody acknowledges us and basically act like we don’t exist.I see why this place is often empty and will never go back again. The food is also mostly lackluster.

We had a business dinner on November 28th and this restaurant did not disappoint. Our waiters attentive service and flexibility with a large group made the dinner relaxing and enjoyable.

There is plenty to experience when in the Hudson Valley, and seafood is definitely one of them. I found myself seated at a rooftop table, looking at the water on a cool Autumn afternoon. So the setting was already on point, but what of the food and drinks? Fish and chips is the go-to and either a good ale or cider (if that's a option). Here, you find both. I couldn't bypass the opportunity for quality cider so I ordered a pint and took in the aromas of breaded fish frying alongside fries. The order came up quick and the water refills came up even quicker. A squeeze of lemon and a few dashes of malt vinegar had me channeling my UK roots. Such a perfect texture, taste, and presentation. Now I know why the person I passed on the way in told me it was a regular spot for him. It would be on the rotation if I lived here.

I live in the next town over and never been, nor ordered from here. Was pleasantly surprised! Great tasting burgers, the white flakey fish and chips were solid and the Mac & Cheese was textured w crunch and nicely seasoned, unlike others who just have noodles in cheese sauce. Will def order / visit again.

Absolutely delicious!! Loved the food & the drinks were phenomenal. The atmosphere is lovely. Cutely decorated & attentive service. The 222 pumpkin martini & the headless horseman drinks were AMAZING. Bolognese was 15/10 stars. Highly recommend this for anyone in the area or visiting. (:

Wife and I were amazed by how quickly they got us in as a walk in during the holiday rush. The waitress and owner were both on point with service. Definitely give this place a shot when in town. Great food, great prices and great service!
