Their Hero sandwiches are delicious! I’m always looking for a good hero place in Suffolk county, this is one I’ll definitely visit again, I can’t wait to try their other items too! The Turkey club sandwich is the main one I recommend!

You will find the best sandwhis I have eaten in the heritage deli, apart from that they sell delicious Latin food and they cook surprisingly quickly, the prices are reasonable and the attention they give you is the best I recommend it

I left a very negative review of this deli several months ago. Since that review, the deli has a new owner, and because it's right around the corner, I figured I've give them a shot. I am delighted to report that the food was terrific, the price was competitive, and the service (and new owner) are super friendly. Excellent portions, clean and bright store, just the best. On top of that, probably the best cole slaw I've ever had! So happy that there's a great local deli again!!

Stopped by the other day for a breakfast sandwich, the place caught my eye right away with a Namath jersey on the wall. The owner was friendly, the sandwich was great, happy to learn they make Empanadas and he has a food truck. Thanks, a great deli is hard to find, I'll be back...
$19 for a basic sub. Updated - the owner asked me to update this review saying it's 16.99, which yes but it was essentially $19 with tax. It did come with chips/drink/side-salad, though I personally would rather the sub just be cheaper without those extras. Adding two stars cause I feel bad, as we have been coming here (or to the prior iteration of this spot) for 25+ years, and I get he's trying to do his thing as a relatively new owner. Also they're friendly in person, never had an issue there and I've been there several times. Side note for Harry, and partly why I initially posted, I wanted a roll but you didn't have any left around noon on a Saturday, so i was forced into a sub or go somewhere else. Regarding pricing, this place is a hair expensive as others say but similar to the local delis as Harry has mentioned several times. I stop at a deli in Queens in a nice neighborhood 1x per week, and the exact same sub there is $4 cheaper, so my guess is the volume allows them to charge that while Heritage and other similar delis on the island can't. My suggestion to Harry is to give customers the option to save by not taking the extras so they don't feel forced into it, even if it's just a buck.

Lovely staff, tasty food, but a little bare bones inside (edit) for the seasonal change over. Went for a BEC and bagel run, can't go wrong.

Great sandwich every time, friendly staff. always busy which shows the food is worth it. not as expensive as the other reviews say, they are leaving out that it comes with drink and chips. Inflation is not their fault. The breakfast empanadas are awesome.

Amazing food and very friendly staff! I travel all the way from Port Jeff because the food is soooo good! I especially love the chopped cheese! They have the most delicious empanadas and deli sandwiches! If you haven’t gone, I highly recommend because you are truly missing out!
