Prime pub used to be one of my favorite places. Definitely a place where I requested to have my birthday dinner. The last three times we have gone there. The drinks and food were well below what we were used to. Some people may not complain about this, but the bartender is so heavy-handed with pouring drinks that if that’s the way, I wanted it to taste I would’ve just ordered shots. When I order a mixed drink, I wanted a taste like a mixed drink. The after dinner coffee even tasted sour. When I mentioned it to the waitress that the food is just not up to par she said well it’s a pub not a restaurant. I was very surprised , I thought wow if they’re going to consider themselves just a pub why are they charging restaurant prices? It’s sad because it’s such a beautiful location and they really did a good job at fixing the place up. We bought so many gift certificates to give to family and friends because the place was truly awesome but not anymore. I can see having a bad night, but I’ve given them the last three chances and it has been a great disappointment.

This place opened about two years ago and we finally got a chance to try it. Beautiful and sophisticated interior design. I appreciate the thoughtful choices of the materials that soak up the noises. They have good variety of the food. We ordered a kimchi burger with house-smoked pork belly, and a Korean fried chicken sandwich. Both were delish but I particularly liked the burger and the chili (dry) fries that came with it. Will come again to try other things on the menu.Parking: easy accessKid-friendliness: kids to-go cup

This was my first time trying them, but unfortunately I won't be back. The restaurant seemed like a nice enough place, I guess. I placed a to-go order on their website and their take out game left much to be desired. I showed up exactly when i was supposed to be there but I had to wait for 30 Minutes to get my food. Plus, there's no communication, so I had no idea how much longer it would be. But the most annoying part was the food was, at best, lukewarm. How is that even possible...I live 5 minutes away. That food should've been pretty hot with me waiting right there for it. Clearly, they have a lot of issues. In the end, though, I wouldn't go back because of the food. I got the eggplant rolotini and I threw most of it out. The eggplant was very undercooked and chalky. The spaghetti was like eating a pile of mush. The whole experience was too aggravating for me to even give them another try. What a waste of money and my time :(Vegetarian options: Not a lot of vegetarian options. Veggie burger and a few pasta dishes were my options.

Spinach and Artichoke dip was very tasty, large portion could definitely share with 4 people. Had a burger and french fries were cooked perfectly, burger was delicious. I came to this restaurant once before and we tried the french onion soup and tomato soup. Both absolutely delicious highly recommend.

Called for a reservation for a birthday party. Was told we were all set only to arrive and find out they never wrote it down. We ended up waiting about half an hour before finally getting a table. Once we got a table everything went smoothly and the food and drinks were good.Parking: Large parking area free of charge

Prime Pub fills a much needed need void in the sleepy Somers restaurant scene. From a somewhat upscale, yet relaxed interior, this is a great place to either enjoy a well-prepared meal, or simply relax at the bar with friends. The view of the fireplace, along with the beautiful lighting make this a great place to spend a Saturday night meal. With such an extensive menu, my only wish was that I didn’t try more of what Prime Pub had to offer. The appetizers we ordered, buffalo cauliflower and wings, were great, however.Admittedly, as others had mentioned, while the environment is spacious, there is an issue with noise control. The restaurant felt incredibly loud and I felt like I had to shout when having a conversation with a friend. I also didn’t love the visibility sitting at the bar. It was a little hard watching the game at the side of the bar and not feeling “cramped.” Still, I’m happy to have found such a great local spot not too far from home.

We went with a group of 5 last night, very busy Friday night; we had reservations so were seated right away in a great table near the fireplace. The appetizers were excellent, and most of us really enjoyed our entrees. Biggest complaint was feeling very rushed by our server from the minute we sat down. It was uncomfortably annoying and put a damper on an otherwise very nice experience.

One of my worst dining experiences recently. I ordered a $38 Halibut filet and specifically ask the it be a bit undercooked so that it “flaked” at the touch of fork. What i got was a fillet cut into four cubes, over cooked and dry, served over a huge bed of tasteless boiled spinach with no perceptible seasoning. Another of our group ordered a pork chop medium rare, but what she got was medium well done. The response to the problems was good; I kept my Halibut and was comped a martini. The other.person returned her pork chop in favor of a burger. The burgers were great and perfectly cooked. The service was prompt and friendly. The ambience was great, but a bit noisy. I’ll go back for a burger, but for $38 halibut I’ll go elsewhere.
