“Went here for the first time. I was immediately impressed by the fact that when I ordered a lamb gyro they cooked/heated up the meat along with the gyro flatbread on the grill. This way my sandwich was piping hot and tasted fresher than places that usally keep a hot tray for the meats and dish it out. Service was also friendly. I will be back!“

“Beautiful steakhouse in Port Jefferson village. The waitress was very attentive. I have been here 3 times in the past 4 years so it's over a span of time. The service is consistent. The wait staff is outstanding whoever trains them kudos to them its rare lately to see consistently trained staff. The food is fantastic every single time. Every dish is executed outstanding. The specials the chef never disappoints!! Always creative with their dishes. Love the place!! If you are looking for a great place in Port Jefferson try this place. But try and get there early or make reservations. We went on a Saturday around 5pm and it wasn't too busy so we got a seat right away. We walked around Port after and when we went back to our car to leave at 7pm it was getting packed.Parking: It's Port Jefferson village if you get down to Port early you can find parking in the paid lots on the weekend if you don't go down early enough it's a struggle to find parkingKid-friendliness: I saw several tables with kids. It's a little expensive for kids but if you have the money why not.Wheelchair accessibility: It's on the ground floor do no stairs. There is ramps to get in and the staff is very accommodating so you shouldn't have any problems.“

“While traveling for my son’s baseball tournament in Yaphank, NY my family and friends stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant!! Everything from the food to the staff is incredible!! I highly recommend this place and so did everyone else we went with (we brought 15 people with us). Everyone cleaned their plate and these are not small portions! The food is extremely fresh and there is a great sense of pride in their product. We loved our experience here and we will absolutely return when we come back in August!!“

“We used Gourmelo’s to cater Easter this year! The menu was perfect!! We chose the roasted lamb and it was literally the best I ever had!!! So delicious! Plenty of food for our party of 12!! “Traveling back from a trip on a Sunday. We didn’t want to go to a chain so googled Mexican restaurant near me and this came up. It’s a small diner and was crowded. Language barrier was a tiny bit of a challenge but made it work. The food was fresh, hot and absolutely delicious. I mean so, so good! I’m so glad we stopped hereParking: Their parking is limited and tight, however we parked very close in a nearby shopping center. Only about 1 minutes walk away“

“Normally service is very good 5 stars, but this visit the girl was not friendly or helpful. She couldn’t remember what toast I ordered and the potatoes were soggy and when I said something about it, she just walked away when she could have offered a replacement. We asked for napkins and she brought them when she brought the check. We will have to stay with our regular server Mike next time.“

We had the chicken tenders, onion rings, chopped cheese hero, macaroni and cheese and Cheddar Chicken sandwich. Everything was cooked and presented perfectly. We even had leftovers to take home. “The guy who worked there last night is a GEM! I ordered online close to closing and he still asked if I wanted cheese in my hero, put it on for me, and stuck it back in the oven. He also told me that if I called directly to the restaurant for a pick up order, it’s a few bucks cheaper. “Seating area has shade, but not much elsewhere. Food is somewhat pricey given the fact that it's on the beach. Outdoor bar. You can only drink in the designated areas because of New York State laws. Excellent for laying on the beach and watching sunsets (Note: Long Island North Shore is somewhat rocky).Another side note: Last time I was here the bar area, they had somewhat of a bee issue. Apparently they've discovered that there are sugars and protein to be had, so they come around. No one was stung last I saw.“

“This place was well staffed. I went on the night before Thanksgiving and it was packed like most bars are that night. However, unlike most places this place didn't leave anyone unattended. The women behind the bar worked quickly to serve everyone.The food was very good! Much better quality than most bars.The only downside of this place is the filthy women's bathroom with a broken door. It could use some cleaning and fixing up.All in all, a great place with a welcoming atmosphere and a great staff!“

Awesome dive bar that is highly recommended if you want to hang with friends,listen to good music,eat great food and just unwind in one of the last dive bars around.Parking: Sometimes you aren’t allowed to park back if there is an issue with the towing company for that particular lot. Generally there is more than enough parking on the street the next bank of parking the street over which is literally 60 feet away.Wheelchair accessibility: Around back not the front entrance.“
