Maizal continues to be a favorite place of mine for Mexican food and drinks. The atmosphere is always comforting and homey complete with art decorating the walls, plants in the window, and little vases on the tables. They have gluten free and vegan dishes as well as vegetarian dishes that can be made vegan if ordered without the cheese and sour cream. I had their spinach and mushroom burrito bowl and it was delicious. The vegan enchiladas verde are another go-to choice that I have gotten many times. They also have great flavored margaritas. The hibiscus is my fav. And their homemade guacamole is a must-have to start off your meal. The staff is also always super nice and the bathrooms are clean which we love to see. They recently added some new menu items so I included some screenshots of the menu from their website since I forgot to take a picture in person.

I had a delicious vegan version of the enchiladas de mole poblano---perhaps the best version of this dish I have had so far---as well as an excellent margarita and a tasty homemade guacamole. I also value the fact that they have multiple vegan dishes. The service was also excellent---friendly and polite staff. I will certainly go back next time I am in the area!

Please do not miss the one and only place for authentic Mexican cuisine outside of NYC. Miriam and Media are always an absolute pleasure. A quaint location to immerse yourself in a beautiful culture that only uses the freshest, high quality ingredients. Not to mention, one of the best margaritas I've ever had. Oh and can’t forget the best Tres Leches in town!

Excellent service. The food was delicious. I had the shrimp burrito bowl and the homemade banana cake with ice cream. It was the perfect place to spend the night catching up with a friend.

This has been a go to for me since I moved to Staten Island four years ago. The food is delicious and consistent. I enjoy their drinks. I have no issues with the service and there's a nice ambiance. I've gone time and again. Had their pre fix menu last night and loved it. Can't wait to go again and again.

Was not blown away by Maizal. The prix fix was reasonable - $30.00 for choice of soup, salad or guac w/ chips, an entree and choice of two desserts. My enchiladas were very good, the guac n chips were minute - the smallest cup you can imagine with 3 half chips in it, and the dessert was very good. My guest ordered an individual order of guac - which seemed pretty plentiful, a salad which was pretty plentiful and the enchiladas also. Had 2 tequilas, one glass of sangria and an Irish coffee which I had to assemble myself...they gave me coffee, a shot of Jameson's and a ramekin of whipped cream - very strange. Anyway, I don't think it's such a great value because the total bill was over $175 for 2 people. I've had filet mignon dinners with bottles of wine for less than that. Go across the street to Sofia's - better value and generous pours. Won't go back.

The food was good the drinks were good. They make them a but strong here and the mojito was more mint then drink. Not a lot of variety on the menu. It's just a lot of nachos, tacos and quesadillas. There's other things but not much.

An elegant and beautiful space to share, with family and friends, the delights of the dishes, desserts and drinks that they prepare in their kitchen and bar. In addition, you can enjoy great calm in the middle of a big city.
