Tried Ronnie's sandwich shop next door to the 122nd police precinct here on Staten Island yesterday. Got a Pastrami ruben sandwich and an Eggplant Parm sandwich. The pastrami Ruben was real good but the eggplant parm sandwich was a little on the salty side but still good anyway. Overall the place was pretty good and also pretty reasonable. Service came with a smile. Looking forward to trying their other stuff. Now my go to place for hot sandwiches.

This is our favorite Forest Ave lunch spot. The sandwiches are really great! My wife loves the Reuben. The Meatloaf sandwich is excellent. I love the Thanksgiving Dinner sandwich, and the Cubano also. The staff are so friendly in this place you kind of feel like you are in their club! The macaroni salad is excellent too!

Great little shop for delicious, packed out sandwiches. Owner is very friendly, and takes the time to get to know his customers. I always feel welcome and appreciated. Nice variety of sandwiches, with a new special every week. Free side of coleslaw, mac/pot salad is a nice touch. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a tasty lunch. Love that I can just pay for my food without an obnoxious tip screen.

The sandwiches are great. The chicken cutlets can be a bit chewy at times. Portions seem small for the cost but I suppose thats how it is everywhere these days. The staff are incredibly friendly and will bend over backwards to make sure you leave satisfied.

I'm leaving a review because I'm bothered by the review before me about the dirty floors. I have been going to Ronnie's since it's 3rd day in business. From the day I entered there through today, the foot traffic in that place is immense. Of course their floors will get dirty. The ongoing of customers from the time it opens until about 4:00 in the afternoon doesn't leave time to mop and if it did, where would the customers waiting stand? I will say the rest of that review was on point. Their homemade food is amazing and made with love everyday. They treat you like family in there. Every customer is treated kindly. Make sure you order the fried cheesecake for dessert!

The sandwiches are always great and the staff are very personable. Whenever somebody comes in from out of town, this is the first place I bring them when they say they're hungry. Has yet to disappoint. 10 out of 10 would eat again.

Great Chicken Parm Hero. Reminds me of 1980's Brooklyn heroes, where most good pizzerias served equally good Chicken Parm heroes.

Ronnie's Sandwich Shoppe serves up some seriously delicious sandwiches. The chicken cutlet hero with mozzarella and roasted peppers is a taste explosion - the chicken is perfectly cooked, the mozzarella is gooey, and the roasted peppers add a great kick. Equally amazing is their chicken hero with artichokes and mushrooms; the flavors blend together so well. I was so into the food that I completely forgot to take a picture - it was that good. Highly recommended for anyone craving a satisfying sandwich experience. Staff was extremely kind.

Ronnie's sandwich shoppe on Forest Ave. has the best sandwich's. Our favorites are -roast beef with gravy -chicken cutlet with roasted peppers fresh mozzarella, balsamic and Mayo. The staff is fabulous. If you are in the area a sandwich from Ronnie's is a must...

I ordered the fried chicken, mozzarella and brown gravy. I never had chewier chicken in my life. I swear, it was like chewing gum. I couldn’t even eat the sandwich. I do not know if it was over cooked or just old but it was terrible. The bread also, what a horrible hero. 100% stale. Thanks for the stale chicken and the stale bread. What a waste of money this place was.My friend got a chicken parm hero, only good thing he said was the sauce. He had the same complaints as I just stated.Do not waste your money on the stale food from here.
