I lived in Brooklyn my entire life and became a Staten Island implant back in 2018. Personally, I wish we came here sooner. Staten Islanders are pretty amazing people, which brings me to my point. Their pizza is fantastic. One such pizzeria that always reminds me of home is Sunset Pizza at the Rossville Plaza of Prince's Bay, Staten Island. Not only is their pizza delicious they have numerous Italian, old world, delectable entrees to choose from. Having said that, the pizzeria is clean, the refrigerator is well stocked and the owners are very personable. Something I missed back home in Brooklyn. Try their food, you won't be disappointed.

Has the pleasure of ordering a pizza from this pizzeria last week. They did not disappoint. The telephone order was simple and we went in for a pick up. We tried the white pizza but for sure will be back to check the rest of the menu out.

I get prices are going up around here and other places but $19 for a large cheese pie that took k er 20 minutes to cook very little sauce and cheese. I mean you can go to a handful of other pizza places that are much better tasting. not cheap with sauce and cheese and charge between 13-16 at most. 19. id rather stand outside that pizza spot and give the next unsuspecting customer $19 to not go in there and save themselves a bad time. do better guys. also don't advertise $13.99 as a special on the front window. Especially if that is no where close to the real price. Yes long rant I know. Many will say "tHaTs ThE pRiCe FoR a PiE" ! Wrong. thats the price in Manhattan so yea You can get a mouth full of flesh as for the ambience of the place, nothing special but wasn't bad.

I was born and raised in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. My family came from the old country and no one knows pizza better than my folks! The one thing we missed about being in Brooklyn was the great pizza, the meatball sandwiches, the Calzones, the garlic knots, and of course the smiles you got from the Pizza shop owners. The sad part is that many of those old pizzerias that have left for "greener pastures." Gone are the old timers who knew how to make a classic slice like the one you may have remembered from the movie "Saturday Night Fever," when John Travolta ordered two slices from Lenny's Pizzeria in Bensonhurst Brooklyn. Even that joint closed down this year!So when Bay Ridge got overcrowded, my family and I moved to Staten Island. An excellent move because it reminds me of home, but I thought I would never find a traditional pizzeria again! In fact, I thought they all moved to New Jersey. Well, I was wrong!Out in Rossville, Staten Island otherwise, known as the "South Shore," there's a great little Pizza joint called "Sunset Pizza." I have to tell you that they have mastered the art of pizza! Not only is their pizza great but I tried, believe it or not, Buffalo Wings for the very first time! From what I understand it is a restaurant favorite. It comes dipped in a mouth watering hot sauce that is absolutely delicious! You can even dip them in barbecue sauce and it is better than sweet and spicy sauce. It is to die for!Lastly, you can't go wrong with their entrees which are all equally delicious! Honestly, I am happy I found this little diamond! And what I love the most about it is they way people are treated. Always with a smile and what can I do for you? Such a nice place to be on Saturday afternoon! I am glad I found it! Thank you!

Sunset Pizzeria is a fantastic pizzeria. Sunset pizzeria has long been the subject of my curiosity as my late parents told me I went to school with the owners son. Last time I came here I had a relatively good memory of it. However, I was not completely certain of the details behind it, so I decided to come back to consummate my understanding of the place. It was an experience not to forget! What Sunset Pizzeria really distinguished itself with was the service I got. I got 1 buffalo roll, 1 pepperoni roll, 1 buffalo slice, 1 pepperoni slice and an order of Mozzerella sticks. The buffalo roll was great with good portions and a great taste even if it was as hot as Stromboli which was to be expected as it was freshly made. I have similar to say about the pepperoni roll being a good size and tasting well whilst being at a scorching temperature. The mozzerella sticks were a different shape but were functionally similar. I would say it did feel more similar to mozzarella in carozza though. The slices were massive, which is exactly how I remembered it. The buffalo slice was a bit of a bit different from what I expected but still tasted great. The pepperoni slice tasted good and met my expectations as far as a pepperoni slice goes. One of the people there, (I would describe him as having a Mediterranean complexion and a medium build with a face that can be firmly described as belonging to someone of Statentalian stock) noticed the size of my order and made it his duty and desire to give good service immediately clear. When I was trying to split the buffalo and pepperoni rolls to cool them down because they were too hot, he came and split them with a rolling pizza cutter for me which was awesome to watch. Throughout the order he doted on me to make sure everything went well, he was surprised that I was just going to eat the entire order at the pizzeria. By the end of it, he remarked that with the way I go through the food, I must be an MMA fighter.Ultimately, the food was great here but the real star of the show was the aforementioned statentalian and the amazing service he provided. Honestly he made eating there a pleasure. I'd gladly go there again if only just to see him again.Parking: Parking is plentiful as it's in Woodrow Plaza which has excessive parking so parking should never be an issue.

I order pizza, I get a classic Rossville pizza. This is the "I want a pizza on Friday night" type of joint. Meatballs are home made and you can tell. They also kick annoying zoomers out of the restaurant who make a ruckus so major respect there.
