The reviews here are for two different Taverna places side by side. We went to the pizza place. For $2 a slice I guess you can’t have super high expectations, but it was not great. The dough needed salt. The only option was cheese and it didn’t look fresh. The space was also pretty run down.

I used to go here with my daughter and with friends. Great spot for a nice bite. Really good appetizers! So good we ordered them as the meal. Nice atmosphere. I haven't had a chance to try out their more recently added brick over pizza restaurant but I have read great things about it so it's on my list.

Very good value for $1.50.Good flavor (but a little heavy on the oregano).Decent coverage of cheese and sauce.Thin, chewy crust with crisp edge and good flavor.Not sure exactly what kind of cheese this is (could be casein) because it stays melted at low temperature. But the taste is good.Mushroom slice was $2, with ample topping coverage.Good enough that I went back for the second slice. I'll give this one a 92.To make it better, I would cut down on the oregano, and use a tomato sauce that has more of the traditional acidic plum tomato taste.

The pizza is always amazing here as well as the service. I recommend sitting down with the family over one of their delicious pies. It's really that great, plus the service is wonderful.

I can see the charm and why many love Taverna Pizza. Friendly atmosphere, great service and delicious menu items. Each and every single thing that we ordered was incredibly fresh and flavorful. The service was polite, pleasant and accommodating. I can't praise Taverna Pizza enough.
