The first time my family and I came to Stone House was for Mother's Day 2023. We had the brunch buffet which was delicious and had many great and fresh options. There was an omelette station and many delicious tiny desserts to pick from. This time my family and I came for Easter 2024 and had the dinner buffet. Unfortunately our great experience the first time was not repeated today. Our reservation was at 6:30pm and when we got there we noticed we were one of four other parties sitting in the buffet area which we thought was weird but maybe Easter dinners are earlier for most people. Anyway, the dinner buffet had a good amount of options like salads, cheeses, penne vodka, chicken fingers and fries, mac n cheese, and some meats to choose from. I noticed that a few dishes didn't have serving spoons so we either had to use our hands or use a serving spoon from another dish which was odd. I didn't like that there weren't serving spoons for each dish (even the finger foods like grapes, chicken fingers, fries) because that means people may have taken them with their hands and this just isn't what I want to see when I'm at a buffet. Each dish should have a fork, spoon, or tongs. Next thing I noticed when I sat down was that some of the foods were cold. It looked like perhaps earlier times for the dinner were more popular and as the night went on the food just got cold from sitting there, not being touched. I also got some turkey from the carving station which again was cold and kind of hard. We were very disappointed as this meal was about 70$ per person and what we actually ate was probably worth 25$ maximum, not factoring in the sad condition of the food. My advice is to avoid the dinner buffet. The breakfast/brunch seems to be the good one and go early when it's busy and the food is fresh and hot.

I really liked the location ! A secluded corner of Staten Island, with a fanrastic lake view. Ideal for events, and all meals (breakfast, brunch and so on). After food there is a nice park to walk at as well. Good service

Very romantic dinner at The Stone House.The outdoor seating was absolutely fantastic with the lake view.Food was amazing and everything just perfect!When the sky turned dark and the mosquitoes started to bite, we asked to sit inside, it had live music!! So glad we got to enjoyed the outdoor view by the lake before dawn and enjoyed the live music after dark, itwas truly phenomenal and absolutely will come back again!

I love the food and the service at Stone House. I was however disappointed on my last visit. We ordered an extra serving of bread and when we received the bill, we were charged 2x for it. We inquired about it and were told that it’s a valid charge to our check. I understand it for the second serving, however, for the first I’m confused about the charge since this was placed on our table upon arrival as if it were complementary. I will come back again, but as a returning customer, this felt wrong.

Beautiful romantic fireplace room with delicious food - a wonderful escape location and you can take a stroll around the park pre or post dinner. Bonus instrumental guitarist was lovely.
