I don't care how old you are --you can't walk out of here eating something and not feel like a kid frozen in time. Love Carvel. Have had ice cream and variations of it in dozens of Countries --still nothing like it. So , Häagen-Dazs and Ben and Jerry's , and all of the rest of the ice cream places out there --acknowledge the best--Carvel.
I honestly didn't even know there were freestanding Carvel's. I only ever knew of their cakes in the grocery store, but I am so happy to have drove by this Carvel and stopped in. We got soft serve and a Sunday. The soft serve was soooo rich and creamy. You know it's good soft serve when even the vanilla tastes good. This is your typical Carvel that I depend on when visiting NY. I like to order soft vanilla with rainbow sprinkles and it's always tasty. There was limited inside seating when I last visited but we ordered it to go and sat outside.
