“My all time favorite restaurant! Consistently excellent, we have been coming here for 35 years and have never once had a bad meal. Authentic German specialties are out of this world, everything is made with the finest ingredients and is very reasonably priced. Service is excellent and the atmosphere is charming in this wonderful family owned restaurant! No other restaurant even comes close!“

I also got sweet potato fries as a side, top tier!Other: they serve ice cream in a major way. Like there's a whole old timey vibe ice cream shop as you enter. There's also a music novelty and memorabilia store attached to the sit down restaurant. If you're really good at Pacman you could win a free burger and fries!“
“I stop here every now and then when I'm driving upstate to my brother's place by Rhinebeck. Him and his wife and kids (lots of kids) are all vegan, so I can generally get a good variety of treats for the house. The bakery products always look lovely and the store's overall aesthetic is very nice, but I find the actual taste and flavors to be very hit or miss- some things are excellent, some very mediocre- but there's so few vegan options upstate, so this spot is certainly filling a void. However, the staff very frequently are unwelcoming, sometimes to the point of outright rudeness. They seem to treat their paying customers in a very snobbish manner for some reason, which is unfortunate. I often walk out wondering why the overall experience was so strange, but I guess it's just something that you have to live with if you want to have a vegan dessert in the Hudson Valley.“

Been hearing great things about Steve’s Subs for a while- went early today… I got a veggie sub and it was great, my other 1/2 got the Mixed Italian- had to weigh 5 lbs. ?Huge!! Fresh!! and Fabulous!!They also carry “Carlo’s” - The Cake Boss individual cake slices! ??Next time I’ll try the pizza as that looked great too!“
“Like many, I made the mistake of driving past this place about 100x before finally going in. Wow. Amazing goodies! Including an entire section of delicious grain and gluten free items! Hidden gems: the black and white cookies are some of the best i've ever had and the black and white "explosions" are some of the most interesting little treats i've found.“
“This is not your average old school Hudson valley ice cream shop. They take care of you like they are, but they have a modern looking building and menu and great customer service. I’m on a keto diet so I got a burger and hot dog without buns. They might not look enticing from the pictures but they were great and fit right into my diet.Dietary restrictions: They accommodated my keto requests no problem. They even wrapped my burger in lettuce for me.“
