We have many Mexican restaurants in the area, and all of them are great by the way, but Pico is my favorite. Fresh, authentic, complex flavors, technique, there is nothing but praise to be given here. And views of the Hudson river!

with a view of the river like theirs hungry tourists would eat here, even if the food weren’t great but luckily they have the most extraordinary, really interesting, authentic and tasty Mexican menu in the region. In the summer months, we are always entertaining folks from all over the world who have very different ideas on what good food is and what they will emote eat and everyone has love this place. the staff is invariably friendly and helpful

Great simple Mexican restaurant over looking the Hudson River and Amtrak station. They make a terrible mistake not staying open till 10:00 during the summer and closing when ever they feel.Makes it impossible for us to invite people for dinner on weekends. No one we know eats by 8:30. Nor wants to eat so early, in the summer. No point to drive over if always or might be closed!

I had dinner at Pico de Gallo last night. Acknowledging some of the reviews here are older, and perhaps there have been substantial changes since they were written, I am still compelled to focus on counteracting the nonsense poor reviews of the service posted here. For service, I am giving this establishment 5 stars. The staff was friendly, gracious, timely and attentive for the duration of our visit. Every interaction with the hostess and waitstaff was nothing short of pleasant. The food was fresh and tasty, served hot in substantial portions and the ambiance is perfect for the location. I am grateful our request to be seated outdoors could be accommodated. Thank you.

This is a hard review to write. We are weekly customers of this establishment and often recommend it to others. After tonight, not only will we probably not go back, we definitely would not recommend it to anyone. I will start with my appetizer, ordered the fried plantains. When they showed up they were falling apart, mushy and lookednloke they were boiled or microwaved. Definitely were not fried, they coild not even hold their shape they were so mushy. Then the dinner... one out of three was ok. One came out wrong with things on it that were specifically asked not to be. The other that was their "special" came out half cold with what would best be described as run of the mill frozen vegetable medly. Seriously, middle of summer and you are serving half cold frozen veggies in a special. The waitress came around and asked how everything was, when we told her, no apologies, just a "I'll be right back" Right back she was, with our bill In full, still no apologies or adjustments to the bill. If this is how they are now treating regular customers who spend 150-200 dollars every week in their establishment I can only imagine what the casual passer by would get It's sad as we liked going here, but customer service and quality of food are 2 things we look for and expect in a restaurant and they failed horribly I both tonight.

Unbelievable Mexican food. We were not expecting to find this caliber Mexican in this area. My wife and I had the pulled beef special tacos and burrito which we'd get again in an instant. House made salsa was excellent. Be sure to ask for their house made roasted pepper hot sauces, too, if you're into spicy. We were so impressed that we had to order desert (the whole menu) and were not disappointed. All three classic Mexican deserts were well executed and delicious. Wait staff was welcoming and the establishment well cared for. A great place to enjoy river views and high level Mexican food.

Everything is fresh and made from scratch. The rice and beans that accompany each dish are yummy. My favorite is the portobello enchilada, I can never decide which sauce I like better, red or green. My son loves their nachos and Tres Banderas. Margaritas are always perfect and fresh as well.

YUM! I have the cheese enchiladas with mole sauce. Soooooo good. My husband had the beef burrito ….equally delicious. The tres leches was a wonderful way to end the meal! This little gem is right along the water in Stuyvesant next to the train tracks. We ate out on the little porch. Nice spot.
