I have been a Kubal/Recess snob for a while but wanted to give somewhere else a try. Wish they made it clear there’s no food at this location except bagels. Ordered a bagel and a dirty chai. Paid $13. Took me a very long time to receive the bagel (not because they were busy; because they were on their computer) and when they did, it was hard and cold so very difficult to spread the cream cheese on. Coffee tasted like chai with no espresso. I would’ve gotten over all of that but what I could not get over was the wifi. Their internet was so slow I could not get any work done. Spent 40 minutes hoping it would get better as the small lunch rush died down. It didn’t. I left to go to Recess nearby.

Definitely the place to go if you need to do some work or journaling. Bit pricey for a coffee shop, but the vibes are immaculate and the coffee is decent. The barista is always so nice and they are willing to help you figure out what you want.Their homemade whipped cream is to die for. Always ask for their homemade whipped cream.Definitely recommend if you want to do coffee and climbing on the same day, as it's right next to a climbing gym ?

Needed a place to chill and visit with family and this was close by. So glad we tried it out. It was very quiet so we were able to sit and chat for quite awhile. I had the chai tea latte which was very good - not overwhelmingly spicy which can be an issue sometimes. Really interesting building and quaint atmosphere. Have definitely bookmarked for future visits.

Last weekend, I stopped by with a couple friends who were visiting from out of town. We walked in about 10 minutes before the close time posted on their door. I thought, "Oh good! Just in time.." right before the barista informed us that the customers she was serving would "be her last." I can't imagine turning customers away before the actual close time. She used that freedom of espresso to tell us to turn around and go-go!

It is one of the most beautiful places in the fall. The atmosphere is wonderful, and it's perfect for studying. There is outdoor seating and indoor seating. Plain lattes are definitely really boring, though. Their london fog is definitely my favorite.

Went on a Friday afternoon. Loved the ambiance of this quaint coffee shop. Will definitely be back. We sat outside and for a moment we felt like we were in a different town. Great escape.

My new favorite coffee shop in Syracuse! They have a robust variety of flavor options, which is the most important thing for me. The atmosphere is also beautiful, with industrial architecture and a lot of bright green plants inside, and the music is not too loud. I enjoy working here, but I've also been lucky that it hasn't been crowded because only certain tables have access to power outlets. The baristas are SUPER friendly! The last time I went, one of the baristas suggested an additional syrup for my drink that I hadn't tried before (I enjoy a less common flavor) and it was delicious!! Definitely stop by if you're in the area.

A hidden gem in the middle of Syracuse. Very peaceful area. You do not get in a rush since there is not a drive through. Walk in, grab a great coffee and relax in the cozy indoor seating area with tons of plants, WiFi and reading material. Or sit outside on the patio and watch the birds and squirrels do what they do in the large tree canopy.

This is the second time in a row I have been and have been very disappointed with Freedom of Espresso in Liverpool. Our barista was not very friendly, the blender wasn’t working (for the second time in a row, the first time this happened was a couple months ago), they had no whipped cream, and the station with lids/straws/etc. was pretty dirty. Unfortunately this is walking distance to my house so I’d love to come more often but I can never seem to get what I want with friendly service any time I come.

Freedom of Espresso is always a good place to go if you're in the area! Was there over the weekend and the barista took my order even though they didn't have it on the menu technically and made accommodations to my caffeine sensitivity (and was VERY sweet about it, thank you!) This specific location is special due to its location in Franklin Square. It's a Syracuse staple in my opinion!

Super nice staff, good coffee, plenty of bright light on big tables and comfy chairs. Delicious chocolate too. Vaguely hard to spot from the road if you’re from out of town. Pleasant surroundings.

This is one of my favorite coffee shops to study at! Good table set up, outlets are accessible, and of course amazing coffee. I most recently got the snickerdoodle latte which had just the perfect amount of sweetness to it. I usually go on the weekends and spend my afternoons there which aren't that crowded. I was just there on a Friday during the morning and it was a little more packed and loud, so the atmosphere definitely varies depending on the time you go. Overall I love coming to this place if I want to be productive and treat myself to a fancy coffee.
