The food was a little much but overall it was really good. Super hard to get a reservation and had to call countless times. Long waits too.Kid-friendliness: Would wow any kid and has tons of sweets for them too.

Came here with my boyfriend today to try the place out, I believe if I didn’t make a reservation it would’ve been a long wait. We waited a bit for it food but I chalked it up to them being busy. When the food did come it was flavorless and underwhelming. My boyfriend got the chicken and waddles which are just Belgium waffles and Tyson chicken strips from the freezer section. I had the big daddy pancake wrap, very underwhelming. Every layer was bland. They do not believe in seasoning at all. The only good thing was a server she was attentive and pleasant but we won’t be back.

Definitely one of my favorite brunch spot in Syracuse. Heads up it’s always packed during the weekend so you have to give them a call to join the waitlist. Apart from that, the service is great, the food is really tasty and affordable, the staff are friendly and helpful when it comes to some recommendations because it’s a lot on the menu. I enjoy the mimosa flight and the frittata so much. I highly recommend this place for a boozy brunch with friends lol.

Rise and Shine in Syracuse, NY, is a breakfast spot worth waking up for. This spot serves crazy twists on breakfast classics. They also serve lunch and dinner as well. If you don't know what to order, they have platters where you can select three options to try!I recommend their milkshakes to start off. Also, we had their poutine and loaded avocado toast, which was really good as well. They do have a wait list that fills up fast. To join the wait list, you will have to call early the day of.Rise and Shine is a must-visit for anyone craving a delicious start to their day in Syracuse.Parking: The parking lot is extremely small. You may have to find parking on the road and walk a little ways.

If you love breakfast and you’re in the Syracuse area you have to try Rise and Shine!! This place is fantastic! Atmosphere was alive and energetic. Service was great. Food was delish. Their drinks are out of this world. I wish I could stomach a milkshake or hot chocolate because theirs look too beautiful to drink and I bet they are fantastic. If you are going call ahead and get on the waitlist, otherwise you may be waiting a long time for a table because it gets slammed.

THEY DO NOT TAKE WALK-INS. We came inside, several people in front and behind us, and no one was there to greet us. We stood for a few minutes where we didn’t see any servers or a host of any sort. Little did we know, there is a wall when you enter that the hostess is BEHIND and not consistently popping out to greet anyone. When we finally saw the hostess, she asked if we had checked in (how would we if no one had greeted us?) and then asked if we were on the waitlist. She proceeded to tell us that the wait was 2 HOURS. Must be some damn good food if they’re that busy, just not a good restaurant for walk-ins and not accommodating at all.

Food was very good. My kids who went to school at ESF have been trying to get in there with no success. We finally did on Feb 9 to have lunch for my daughters bday which was on the 11. Was not disappointed by any means. Good place. Hope to be back.

Take out was a nightmare. Waited over an hour for a pancake flight and some scrambled eggs. Then I get home and open up the containers and the food is incredibly lackluster. Eggs were funky and flavorless. Pancakes were dry and no extra syrup was given. Missing half the ingredients in the description--a far cry from the menu picture. I can understand the presentation for takeout not being the same as in-restaraunt, but this was a total rip off.

Rise n' Shine is still our favorite. We had scrambled eggs, toast, smoked salmon on a bagel with cream cheese, home fries and grits. Best breakfast ever. Everything was hot and delicious and the staff and service was great.
