Almost every day during my time at OCC, Sardo's was my go-to spot, and for good reason. Their buffalo chicken pizza is unrivaled, boasting the perfect blend of tangy sauce, tender chicken, and gooey cheese atop a crisp crust. Plus, their Wacky Wednesday special—a large cheese pizza for just $8.99—made it an irresistible deal. Beyond the delicious food, Mr. Sardo himself adds to the charm of the place with his warm welcome and friendly chats. Sardo's isn't just a pizza joint; it's a welcoming community hub where great food and even better company come together effortlessly.
Ordered delivery and food got to me cold and toppings all on one side of pizza . Wings tasted good ,but not hot as expected.

Their pizza is so good. I love ordering slices because they make the crust very crispy. I’d like to order a whole pizza and have it be there crispy on the bottom.
My husband and I were visiting from Canada and thought we would try their pizza. They delivered to our hotel, even in a snow storm, and the pizza is absolutely delicious.

I came in with my kid on the 26th around 6PM to grab a few slices warmed up to go. My total was $13.50 for 2 slices white garlic and 2 slices of Buffalo chicken. After 6 or 7 mins, I could smell the slices burning, and the young man with curly hair was nowhere to be found. I looked into the kitchen and saw him eating food while preparing food for another customer, and without any gloves on. He then used a white work towel and wiped his face and nose. He put the towel back on the same metal counter as he was preparing food. He did not wash his hands. He came out, and I asked him to wash his hands before handling my food after wiping his nose. I said, "That's how you get people sick." He rolled his eyes and went out back to wash his hands. The slices were more than burnt, and I asked for my money back. I left the $1.50 tip in the tip jar even though I left without food that night.I will say this, before this night, I used to order an XL white garlic pizza at least once a month. The crust was on point and had the perfect amount of garlic and cheese. I don't think I'll be returning soon, I'm disappointed in the lack of training in regard to proper food handling and safety practices.

I ordered a calzone, chicKen wings and 3 slices of pizza. The slices my son wanted were not delivered with the rest of the order. when my husband called the guy who answered was dismissive and actually said all you ordered were slices. My husband was replying when the kid hung up on my husband. The slices were delivered eventually and they were cd and burnt on the bottom. We have ordered from them for a long time it will no longer be patrons of this establishment!

Birthday weekend for a teenager - of course pizza should be on the menu, right? We still haven't found our spot yet for pizza, so we decided to try Sardo's; it seemed well-reviewed, with a few notes of caution so we tried to go ahead. We get the full order into the online ordering system and... it doesn't have a way to take a card, I think someone forgot a step in activation somewhere. Not to be deterred, we call the order in. Of course, calling in to a new place is hectic and we fail to correct for delivery vs pickup, having noted that many of the reviews caution against delivery and delivery is assumed by the person who answered the phone. Not wanting to cause any difficulty, delivery is kept as the option and we are told 45 minutes to an hour, which seems incredibly reasonable. An hour passes. No word. An additional half hour after that passes and we call just to make sure they didn't miss us in the dark. We're told the order is in a car on the way to us and since we live less than ten minutes away, we figure that's great - as another half-hour passes. We call again, this time to be told that the driver is missing and we say we can just come get the order, as that was the original plan anyhow. Upon arrival, we're assured that the food is fresh and it seems possible, as a last item in our order is pulled from the oven and placed in a box. (So far, unimpressed as the order could not have both been in a car on the way to us and in the oven.) Upon arrival at home, to a starving teenager who is ready to dive in, everything is cold. Like, food safety danger levels of cold for the one with chicken and ricotta - which I stopped halfway through the slice when I discovered just how cold it was. I'm sure that some of the items we ordered would have been tasty, had they been warm at all. The teen, who usually isn't fussy about food and was unaware of the delivery miss, then dealt the final blow to me giving this place any kind of leeway. "The school pizza is better than this." One star for the garlic knots - the only part of our order that was even warm and they were tasty.

To be fair the pizza is good, but the food from the friar is not great. We had fried clams that were over cooked and tasted like burnt toast. Onion rings were also burnt. And ironically the French fries were undercooked and soggy.

Honestly I never write reviews but it just occurred to me that I’ve been ordering from Sardo’s almost monthly for like 4 years… Literally the best pizza around. The crust is actually flavorful, which is so different from every other place around here I feel like. I ordered the cheese garlic bread this time because I was feeling extra fat and let me tell ya, it doesn’t disappoint. It’s indescribably delicious. 10/10, would recommend.

My fault for being lazy and not wanting to cook. I have had the pizza and wings before but I thought we would try again. Wings are so dry and the pizza is just not good. The crust is too doughy and seems like it’s frozen pre made, sauce taste like it’s from a can and the cheese isn’t high quality. I am so disappointed we don’t have good quality pizza on the south side. Customer service is great and the pricing is accurate for the going rates.
