First off, what can I say about the wonderful wait staff. The hostess, Ronnie, was top notch sweet! Then my waitress, Eddy, kept offering us water to keep our thirst quenched. I was utterly happy. Then, we ordered their homemade miso soup! What a treat! My favorite part of the meal was their duck ramen. Such a tender feeling of gratitude. A must visit for a wonderful price!

Food was phenomenal. Staff were welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. Atmosphere gets 4 stars due to being rampant with misbehaved, violent children.

I asked the chef for a cheeseburger and he was elated to make it for me. He kind of looks like Ralph Fiennes which is cool.

In two words an amazing experience ! Was invited along with my wife by my sister and brother in law to celebrate their 30th anniversary, mid Jan 24. Roughly an hours drive into upstate NY from Manhattan. Started with a tour of the captive farm where they experiment with all manner of food from winter veggies to grass fed cattle. Beautiful romantic spot up on a hilltop with French Normandy style buildings and barns etc spread out across some courtyards and arches. All organic, farm to table and seasonal. The dinner started at 6pm till 10 pm with wine pairing. Multiple small dishes flows in continuously and the enthusiasm and experience of the talented chef team really comes thru. The closest such experience is probably at the French Laundry at Napa. There is no fixed menu as they tend to serve what they manage to grow on any given day. It would be great if they are able to build a small hotel so guests coming over from further afield can stay over after the dinner and enjoy the well stocked bar and some of the comfortable lounges for night caps etc.

My sister and I went to the cafeteria at Blue Hill and it was a wonderful experience. The parsnip soup was one of my favorite dishes ever. The dishes were simple, refined, and flavorful - I cannot wait to try the 10-course meal in the main dining room.Unfortunately, I did get food poisoning after my experience here (but it didn’t deter my love for this place)! I was sick for a solid 12 hours before my stomach finally calmed down. I would totally go here again, but hope the restaurant sees this so they can maintain high quality control to their guests.

Came here for a celebratory family dinner after making a reservation a month prior. This place was all about the ambiance. Starting from when we set foot into the whole estate, the attention to detail from the seats, to the fireplace, to the tea while we waited to be seated were fantastic. After entering the main dining room, every plate, cup, and glass we used seems so carefully planned out and unique. There was an intermission halfway during our meal where we were taken to a different room where...bread or butter was made or something? It was the craziest thing I ever imaged to experience as part of a meal. At another point during our meal a whole dead pheasant was brought to our table to show us what it looked like, which was super cool. Service without a doubt was top notch for a fancy restaurant. Food was decent, the emphasis was on the fact that all food were naturally grown. The server poured our candle into our salad at one point, I guess to show that the oil from the candle was made from animals and it's edible. The experience was incredible, food was healthy, but overall I personally would have liked more meat in the meal. I was filled with what seemed like 40 different kinds of vegetables and I was craving meat. Overall would recommend the experience.

We had dinner in the Cafeteria, but there was nothing "cafeteria-like" about it! Beautiful ambience, wonderful wine pairings and food beyond description! Service was dotting, but not overwhelming! Well done, Blue Hill at Stone Barns Cafeteria. I already have plans to join you for breakfast and lunch!

Was expecting a lot, thats why I am a bit disappointed … the menu of the day is squash soup, baked little pumpkin with grains inside, sour dough, cured meat and potato. Its literally carbs with carbs with carbs …. I was expecting more greens and refreshing menu … Also throughout the meal -1 hour there were no one refilling the self served water bar, and i repeatedly saw people confused and frustrated about that. Gave a 3 star for service just for the frequency of refilling the water tank, the counter servers are great though. The premise is huge and beautiful, its a good hike and exploration around the farm and greenhouse.

We had an amazing experience. Service and atmosphere were both great.I really wanted to give 5 stars but the food was too adventurous for my palate. A lot of the dishes were too salty for my taste. I can't eat raw meat so some dishes were substituted to vegetarian options and I didn't like the substitions :(. The only dishes I really enjoyed were the scallop and the tropical fruit sorbet.
