“Pro : I enjoyed the beautiful aesthetic of this place. The place is a modernize architecture in a rural upstate NY. I went with a friend of mines & she enjoyed her flight of beer/cider.Con: me & my friend got there at 730ish on Friday night closing at 8. The bar tender took our order as the last round and provided us with the bill on the iPad & paid. At no point did the bartender ask of we were enjoying our beer or if it was first time there. she seemed annoyed that we even showed up at 730. She didn't speak to us after providing the beer, she seemed in rush to shut the place down. I wish the customer service was better. With that being said I'd go again because of the quality of the cider/beer and the ambiance was nice was but not customer service”
“We recently went to Jaeger Haus for the first time and we were delighted by our meal. I have been to German restaurants around the U.S. and this ranks among the best. And they have rye bauernbrot that is the real deal! I will try to return everytime I travel to that area. I strongly recommend it.Vegetarian options: While I am a carnivore, the two others in my party were vegetarians and these were very happy with the selection of items.”
“The coffee is truly great- clearly made with passion and heart- and I love the little gathering area in the garden behind the hotel. You can text to order ahead if you don’t have time to wait. So convenient!”
“My dining experience at Santa Fe Tivoli was EXCEPTION! The space was clean, nicely lit and super cozy! The food was amazing! 10/10 recommend. Staff was very welcoming! Food properly coursed!”
“Broadway is our absolute favorite. We moved farther from them and tried the two pizza joints close to our new digs and they are not at all as delicious as a Broadway pie with onions. We'll commute to them - they are worth it!! P.S We were lucky they delivered to us prior to moving and the drivers were always cool. I miss delivery!”
“There aren’t enough stars here to give this local jewel of a bakery. The sticky buns are my favorite but you can’t go wrong. It has such a homey feel, I just love any occasion that brings me here. You can tell they really love what they do, my wish is that this bakery is always here, forever and ever.”
“Incredible food and atmosphere! Every single tapas plate we ordered was delicious. The waitress was very knowledgeable about the ingredients which was important as I have celiac disease. This is a must visit restaurant! The owner is lovely and spoke with us about the food, her husband is the gifted chef. When you do go eat here the Basque Cheesecake is divine so definitely order dessert!”
“Tivoli General is an absolute local gem. Serving up fresh flavors, focaccia that's top notch and coffee that's on point. The breakfast sandwich is a real treat and lunch isn't to be missed. The produce section is stacked with well curated delicacies with influences from all over the world. To top it all off the owners are super welcoming and engaging .. don't miss this spot when you're in Tivoli.”
“Definitely the best sushi in the area and the best restaraunt in Tivoli! The decorations inside give it a really cozy and welcoming vibe— the staff were super friendly and the service was fast. The menu gives you plenty of options and a wide range of appetizers and dinners to choose from. The sushi was incredibly fresh and everything tasted great. Would reccomend Osaka to anyone looking for a delicious dinner at a reasonable price!”
“Lovely! Great craft beers as well as incredible whiskey selection (over 100+!?!). If you don't know your whiskeys, like me... owner is very gracious about advice on where to start. Plus, recommends reasonable starter prices rather than taking advantage of someone not savvy. However, if you do know your drink, then ask for the special list.”
“Just stopped in to get a cappuccino and a bite of pecorino. Didn't disappoint; more than lovely place to wait for the bus and do some reading! Only complaint is the lack of publicly available napkins.”
“This is by far the best Italian restaurant for a special occasion in Greene County. We enjoyed the ambiance and everything we ordered. A group of 6 celebrating a birthday.”
“We're hanging out at the dive bar down the road and the bartender there recommended we come here for some good drinks. And my oh my were they good. I never believed in the science of mixology or that a mixologist was a skilled tradesmen. But the old man who made our drinks must have been the Gordon Ramsey of Bartending. Your average bartender is a frycook by comparison. I had a few of their signature cocktails as well as a Manhatten and an old fashioned; my go-to drink so I've had a lot of them from a lot of different places, and never in my decades of life have I tasted such a perfectly mixed old fashioned. It was sublime and I doubt I'll taste its equal again in this lifetime unless I find myself in Kingston again and this man happens to be behind the bar once more. He also whipped up some scratch-made eggnog with alcohol and it was exquisite.”
“Want a great wine list (without an hour-long wait for a seat)? Come here. Want a yummy little snack with your wine? Even better! I wouldn't call Sonder a hidden gem, but perhaps an undersung highlight of Kingston in general and midtown in particular.”
“This is my favorite dive in Rhinebeck - all vegetarian and all delicious! This time we came at the busiest hour - lunch rush on Easter weekend, and the line was super long out its door. But the atmosphere behind the counter (where they take your order and assemble the food) remained calm, orderly and efficient. Every customer was greeted with friendly smiles, thoughtful questions and speedy service. I ordered my usual falafel pita, plus the roasted pepper and artichoke soup, while my husband tried their sabeech pita. It's a miracle how much food they skillfully stuff into a pita pouch - I would have torn it or dropped the content - making one's meal a great value. The soup was amazing, and the sandwiches were heavenly! There aren't many such fast yet gourmet eateries in Rhinebeck, and this one is a must try!”
“I took my boyfriend here for his birthday dinner and it was incredible. The food was so delicious (the lobster Mac is a must have!). The server was so nice and attentive and the atmosphere was fun yet quiet. Also MUST top off the meal with the chocolate mousse!!”
“The food was good but they really need some more space. It is too tight to be able to go in and have a place to enjoy the excellent coffee and tea they serve with their donuts.”
“A true hidden gem. From the food to the service you will forget the essence of the atmosphere and remember not to judge a book by it's cover.Parking: Plenty of parking as you follow the parking signs.”
“This was our second visit to Miss Lucy's. We were here in 2021 , too. We had the PLT which was like a BLT but with pork belly. It had a nice sauce on it. We had it with fries. We share the same with a bowl of tomato bisque. It was creamy and tasty. Don't miss it if you like tomato bisque. The homemade lemonade complements it will. We ended with sharing mocha crème d'pot. The creamy top was awesome for both of us. I am not a fan of coffee so I didn't eat the bottom portion of the dessert. The service was good and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting.”
“This place has a classic American tavern feel. There is bar seating and table seating. There are a couple of sections (a big back section which is where our group of 11 was seated). Food was delicious and they had a couple of options - bar snacks, appetizers, salads/soup, mains. The price of main entrees run from $20-$30. Service was also great.”
“Went in for the first time and it was so cute. Definitely a place to grab you coffee, juice, food or tea and sit down to chat, work, read a book. I got a smoothie it was good and fast!”
“Went here last night for drinks and small bites. The vibe is perfect and decor is gorgeous. Our mixologist was perfect and fun to watch , he made us a “don’t go until you get some” and “never fully dressed” which were perfection. We ordered the squash bread as well as shrimp cocktail and both were delicious. The perfect date spot. Don’t pass this place up if you have a chance to go!”
“My family and I dined here last evening. Do yourself a solid and order the duck confit potatoes, if that’s your pleasure. We enjoyed our food, the desserts were delightful—-especially the lemon tarte. The staff was attentive and brought my sister a birthday treat. Cozy ambiance and relaxed pacing.”
“Delicious oven brick pizza. We had the Mediterranean salad and Grana Padano pizza. They were both really tasty. You could taste the good quality of the tomatoes and cheese in the pizza. The crust was thin, crisp and very tasty.”
“Excellent service, best Caribbean in the area. Taking away one star, because there have been a Couple of times where the Oxtail has been really fatty pieces. Maybe some like it that way, but not ideal for me.”
“Best bookstore in Kingston! I'm not a coffee drinker but I do love their hot chocolate. I order the same thing every time I stop by ( Small hot chocolate and a cookie) .This place is super cozy with an awesome selection of books. If you can find a seat on a less busy day your in luck! It's a chill place to meet up with friends or get some work done. Staff is always friendly and helpful. If your new to Kingston definitely check it out it's one of a kind.”
“Love my experience every single time I come to we got the juice. Atmosphere is always top notch! Sandwiches are delicious and juices are the best! Please stop in and get yourself a juice or sandwich for lunch you won't be disappointed!”
“Laid back atmosphere with good music and a good selection of brews. I went on $5 draft Monday and that is a great value. Got the Kaaterskill IPA and the red IPA (can't remember the name), sampled the Juniper Ridge and ended up leaving with a 4 pack of it. Many restaurants within walking distance as well so you don't have to go far to get a good meal after your visit”
“I love the food here. I usually order online and then pick it up myself. It’s always ready when they note it will be. Their square slices are the best. Crispy crust and tasty toppings. The pesto chicken salad is also a favorite.”
“I didn’t know if my reaction was overblown when I said that this is the best ice cream I’ve ever had, but I brought a few friends at another time and they were freaking out just as much as I was. The labne sour cherry is sublime, and the brown butter pecan was off the charts. My friends’ favorite was the rosemary nut brittle. We all bought pints to go. Truly exceptional!”
