Got all my bbq meats for graduation party few weeks ago food was outstanding and everyone raved about it. Bbq chicken drums, ribs, pulled pork and sausage n peppers. Not a single complaint and plenty for 100 people plus lots of leftovers. Would definitely recommend

Inexpensive and really delicious. I got the chicken dinner, that comes with two sides (I got fries and mac salad), my husband got the pulled pork sandwich. The proportions weren't huge, but they did not skimped. Both of our meals were well cooked, (hate this word, but going to use it) moist, and perfectly seasoned! It was $19 and change, and we left fully stuffed and content. Of course we went to lickety split for dessert--but how can you NOT go?!

We ordered pulled pork to bring to a get together later and had ribs and my wife had a chili dog while we waited.The food and the sides were all good and our friends loved the sandwiches and salads Dave put together for us.

Stood waiting for over 10 mins until we ask for our order to go, and the owner claims our ticket fell behind the counter. Owner was very defensive / rude when we said something. We stood there and heard whole conversation, and they just forgot the ticket was placed in. Insane no explanation until the 3rd time asking why. Not to mention there was three dinner orders that were placed after ours and they received there whole dinner order when we ordered sandwichs!!Update we did get a refund from owner we may try one more time.

Terrible ran out of chicken ribs and brisket...went with pulled pork and it was crunchy to say the least and no sauce on the pork.

We tried Big Dave's based on Yelp reviews. They were spot on. They don't always carry beef brisket but today they did. We ordered 2 beef brisket sandwiches with Carolina sauce for lunch. The brisket was just a tad dry. Just a little bit too much time in the smoker. It came with some burned edges, which some people might find objectionable. In the spots where there there was a bit too much carbon, I simply took the burned bits off. I liked the tangy Carolina sauce which is slightly sweet. The sauce runs, so be sure to get a lot of napkins. The brioche-type buns were good, too. My husband was very happy with the meal. It was my treat and he was also probably happy that I paid for lunch. I think each sandwich was about $10. With a Diet Pepsi, the entire lunch cost $24, which was fine. Good brisket never runs cheap. Big Dave's BBQ is housed in a little red building with outdoor picnic tables, a couple of kiddie rides and a smoker all located to one side. It's cute. The young woman who took our order was friendly and helpful. It's located on Columbia Turnpike in East Greenbush right behind Lickety Split Ice Cream, so if you still have room for more calories, making a B-line to the ice cream stand would be a no-brainer. If you've got kids and want to spend the afternoon in the area, there's a FunPlex fun park behind Big Dave's complete with miniature golf. Not clear how much of its open during the pandemic.
