I have been an EMRY's customer for over six months. EMRY's has some of the best food and drinks in the downtown Troy area with a really special ambiance. However- that is not the reason I am writing this review today. I noticed that over the past few days, there have been multiple 1 star reviews left for EMRY's. I just feel the need to point out that everything in these reviews in completely false. The reason I am commenting on this is because I witnessed what actually occurred while I was eating dinner on Saturday night. Those writing these negative reviews were cut off due to being too intoxicated and were eventually asked to leave the restaurant. They would not leave and made a scene, even resulting in the owner having to threaten to call the police. The staff of EMRY's handled this with tact and I did not witness any disrespect towards these customers- it seems as though they are still angry about being cut off. Over the past six months, I feel as though I have come to know the staff and the owners very well. The owners are very involved and it shows. Each time I have been there, the owner personally approaches tables in the dining room to ask patrons how their meal and experience has been, which is something that I feel has been lost in the restaurant industry. It is extremely apparent that all of the staff genuinely care about each customer's experience. Do not let false reviews stop you from trying EMRY's. It is so disheartening to see people using yelp reviews to hurt a small business, especially when those writing them were truly the cause of the bad experience. Regardless, EMRY's will continue to be a restaurant I frequent. I always recommend the Short Rib Pappardelle for an entrée- it pairs great with a phenomenal bourbon cherry bomb and hits the spot every time.

Honestly the worst restaurant I've had all year - the staff were completely disrespextful to my party for seemingly no reason. Will not be coming back and do jot recommend this establishment.

Most rude owner and staff I have ever encountered. Will never go back or recommend anyone to go here.

I've never had staff rush my party out the door like they did at Emrys last evening. Our waitress was very nice, but an older woman approached our table while we were eating our desserts, asked us if we knew there was a party waiting for our table, and then rolled her eyes saying "Your waitress was supposed to tell you. I'm sorry." Mind you, this woman did not sound sorry at all and presented as a WHOLE attitude. I don't know this lady's position in the staff ranking, but FYI your waitress did nothing wrong, because we were still eating our desserts, which, by the way, should have been free for the way you rushed us out. Sorry you cant manage your tables well enough and told aparty of 8 you had room when you in fact, did not, but that was not our problem. Also, your fries are soggy. Thumbs down, overall.

My first visit to Emry's Garden left me with mixed feelings. Let's tackle the drawbacks first: the service left much to be desired. Despite our efforts to remain understanding, our server fell short. We asked for one of our party's meals to be modified due to allergies and were met with a less-than-pleasant response. Throughout the interaction, there was a pervasive sense of unfamiliarity and ambiguity in the server's demeanor, leaving us with more questions than answers. On to the beverages: while we eagerly anticipated indulging in the espresso martini flights ($20) and Bloody Marys ($12), the reality fell short of expectations. The steep prices did not correlate with the underwhelming portion sizes and lackluster taste. The Bloody Mary, in particular, lacked the depth of flavor and alcohol content we anticipated, making it a disappointing experience. Now, onto the food: while the dishes were passable, they didn't quite reach the pinnacle of excellence we had hoped for. Cold hashbrowns and slightly inflated prices left us with a lukewarm impression despite the meal being the highlight of our visit. However, the ambiance of the restaurant was a definite plus. The charming atmosphere, coupled with a friendly visit from the owner at the end of our meal, added a much-needed touch of warmth to the experience. Nevertheless, a 20% large party fee (for a table of 6), coupled with minimal and condescending engagement from our server, left us disheartened. Despite these setbacks, we remain optimistic about returning to Emry's Garden for their late-night specials and enjoying drinks on the patio during the warmer months. While brunch may have been a slight disappointment, we're hopeful for a more satisfying experience.

My girls and I were here for dinner on a Friday night. We had reservations and they were able to seat us pretty quickly. We got drinks and pretzels to start. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and the service was fast. The pretzels were the best ones I have ever had! So soft and tasty. The drinks were strong and on the sour side. Half our party is vegetarian and they have two burger options on their menu. Unfortunately the one my friends wanted, black bean, only one was available. They settled to split a burger and get a cauliflower side. I got the short ribs pasta and another friend got a friend chicken sandwich. The food was top notch! Would highly recommend! They also had a variety of pizza. The ambience is classy, upscale and the music is loud, the lights are dim. Perfect vibes for a date night.

Even though parking can be a challenge, the beer and food is well worth it. We stopped in for dinner on the 16th of March, I had their Irish Dinner, it was very good! Corned beef, soda bread, carrots and colcannon were all very tasty. The cabbage was a bit bland, but a touch of butter and a dash of salt was all it needed. One of our party had the Salmon BLT on GF bread and it got great reviews. Our waiter was Michael and couldn't have been any better at taking care of us. This was our second time eating here and I recommend that you give them a try!

Food is spectacular. The Ahi Tuna Nachos are something VERY special. Great food. Music may be a little loud at times given the type of restaurant it is, but the food easily makes up for that. I will be returning to this place for more nachos very soon!

Nice addition to Troy. The bartenders are pros! Everything made from scratch. Just wish the food was a bit more creative and sophisticated.
