I love this market when I'm looking for authentic Bosnian food, ingredients, and treats. There's also a restaurant attached where you can buy authentic food freshly made, and the food is delicious! The family that runs it has always been kind and helpful, and I'd rather support a small, local business in the area than ordering from somewhere I don't know online.

If you are looking for exceptional Bosnian food or just a meal that is a bit different than what you are use to, please give this place a try! I am a huge fan of Bosnian food, especially cevapi. Recently, when driving through Utica, I decided to stop by Ruznic Market & Restaurant and get some cevapi to go. When I walked in, I immediately noticed that the place was older but extremely clean. I explained that I'd like to order cevapi and I requested that they wet the bread and place it back on the grill for me before serving. This is my favorite way to eat cevapi (taught to me by a dear Bosnian friend). The staff was extremely friendly and told me it wouldn't be a problem to make my order as requested. And, what they delivered was simply exceptional! I have eaten cevapi all over the US and Canada (and one day I will eat it in Bosnia) and this was the very best I have ever had. Fresh, hot and just a delight to eat. The cevapi was moist and very well seasoned. It also had that little crunch that I love at the first bite. The bread (lepinja) was out of this world! It was the perfect Bosnian flatbread that was nearly the size of a dinner plate. I also requested sour cream and ajvar (pepper and eggplant condiment) and that was so fresh and tasty. My only regret for this visit is that I didn't order more to take home. I can't recommend these cevapi enough! The best of the best! Thank you!! I'll find a reason to drive your way and visit again!!
