We wanted somewhere special to bring family from out of town and Ventura’s was perfect! Our meals and desserts were delicious, the staff was friendly and accommodating, and the atmosphere was elegant and welcoming. We had a wonderful evening and our family loved the experience. This delightful gem on the outskirts of Utica, offers authentic Italian food, uncommon delicacies, like escargot and frogs legs, a decent wine menu and a full service bar. The desserts were magnificent. Everyone tried everyone else's meals and desserts, and there wasn't a single disappointed person in our very large group.

Terrible snack. Had wedding soup, came out luke warm. Had them nuke it. Most tasteless soup ever. Had meatballs, they were over mixed under spiced beef balls. Service was fine but the bartender smelled like cigarettes, it was gross.

Let's start off with the food. I had the Veal Parmigiana and I loved it not too much sauce or cheese. I also had the chocolate lava cake which was warm and delicious. Next the service. Our waitress sierra was perfect. Always came by and checked on us and. The layout of the place is cool with the pink chairs and the old school look. If I were to come to Utica again I would go here.

A hidden gem (at least to me) that I hope to come back visit again.We were on our way home from a VERY long road trip and starving. I had been dreaming about Italian food in Utica since we left Cleveland that morning. I didn't realize that the place I was hoping for was closed between the "lunch" and "dinner" serving times. My husband came to the rescue and found this place with a quick Google search.We were so hungry we ordered ridiculous amounts of delicious, amazing food. The bread - I had to force myself to stop eating it so I had room. Homemade dressing. The sauce on both the chicken marsala and the riggies. And the meatballs! I should have ordered more to go.The place is beautiful inside. Very much a "throwback" in style, reminiscent of another time when restaurants were elegant and refined. And the staff were so pleasant and professional.If you haven't been here, go! It isn't right off the highway or on the main drag, but head off the usual path and stop here. You won't be sorry.

My husband and I just visited Venturas today for lunch and had to remark on how delicious our lunch was. It was by far the best meal we have had out in a long long time. I had the haddock marinara and my husband had the haddock franchaise. The haddock was so fresh it just melted in your mouth. Not a huge fan of haddock but always like to have fish on Fridays. I would even have it on another day of the week as it was that good. Both sauces were made to perfection. Kudos to this establishment. They are old school and know how to do things right. We will be back!!!!
