Went here for valentine's day was very disappointed my fish smelled fishy when it came to the table. And as I proceeded to eat it, it was like rubber, my yams were cold. And I don't know what to say about the cabbage, which just wasn't right. My boyfriend had the chicken and he said even his macaroni. And cheese and his food was cold. Tony, I'm very disappointed because I had such a wonderful meal here One Mother's Day, what happened?

The place is nice and homely. We got there when it opened and we were seated immediately on a rainy Saturday. As soon as we were seated I felt like I was in my own house. Food took time to come out we were a party of six. Allowed us good time for conversation. Cornbread came out first. Food and service was on point. I don't eat seafood out but tried the Fried whiting that came with grits, home fries, and eggs. All healthy size portions. Lemonades we're off the hook, homemade I think. Didn't have any of the cocktails. I'll try them out next time. The place is nice and clean TVs are all around. Gary our server was very friendly. Had dinner with my coworker here & we both agreed that the food was amazing & authentic, service was fast & easy. The atmosphere was fun & lighthearted. Just looking at the names of the drinks & having family feud play in the background as we ate was enough for me to fall in love with the atmosphere. The lovely gentleman who served us was very receptive, friendly & efficient in service. It felt so homey, like eating at home with loved ones or attending dinner at your favorite auntie’s house. Would definitely recommend as a nice, easygoing, calm environment for anyone to dine in.

I've seen this restaurant around for years and I'm so happy I got the chance to finally come here. The guy who seated us was very nice. We ordered the shrimp lobster grits and catfish strips..... OMG not a single disappointment! The cocktails were delicious! The music was on point as well! Definitely coming back! Pretty Toni's is an amazing local soul food spot with an intimate flare. Really love to come here with my girl, friends or family. The owner, Toni, is really nice and down to earth. Don't let others experience discourage you, it's been a blast for me. This is going to be my 4th time coming here and I'm traveling from Brooklyn. Pretty Toni's has by support!

Beautiful decor, great music, friendly service. Food is always on point and when I come back to queens I have to visit this black owned family restaurant!!! Upscale or laid back music in the background sports on the TV. Nice atmosphere definitely would like to see some live music in this spot!

On a recent Sunday, my family and I went to this establishment; arrived before 3:30. I had a party of 7, I checked the website and was aware of the size, therefore I went in alone to see if there was space for my group. I saw the owner (I knew from pix) and informed him that there was 7 in my party and inquired if there was space to accommodate us. He brusquely said brunch is over, I said fine, we can do dinner. He said okay give me 5 minutes. I went outside got my party (which took at least 3 minutes) and we were going to wait in line the waiting area. My mother was first and the rest of the party followed. As my mother opened the door, the owner, very rudely said "I said 5 minutes"! He was extremely discourteous, and unwelcoming. Therefore we made a decision to not patronize this black owned establishment. When he came to the compact waiting area to retrieve us, I very calmly explained that we were no longer interested in eating there due to his rudeness. He preceded to say, "no one is going to tell me how to run my business". He was in no way receptive to anything we had to say about the negative treatment of potential customers. Instead of being apologetic and welcoming, he was just the opposite. Needless to say, we spent our money elsewhere. If I could give this a minus 10, it still would not be a true reflection of the condescending and discourteous attitude of the owner.
