Overall a very nice experience . The service was fantastic, the drinks were served quick. We had the meatballs as an appetizer and they were perfect... very tasty. We both had the chicken parm. It was clearly freshly made and overall a nice meal. The only thing we didn't like is how oily the chicken parm was. The oil took over the taste a bit, but it was still pretty good.

We've been to uncle franks before & really like it. The tables are close for a party of 2 so we chose the bar which wound up great! Our bartender Stephanie was professional & friendly. The food is always good. It's pricey, but so is everything. Our favorite is sharing a pizza and dish of pasta along with some wine??

Came here for a private party and pleasantly surprised is an understatement. I thought the name of the place was a little cheesy at first (pizza puns aside), but didn't want to pass any judgment till I was able to try the place. And I'm glad I didn't. Turns out the guy that owns Frank's is the same guy who owns one of my other favorite spots in town, Blackbird, so my hopes are now pretty high.Atmosphere is nice, generally a modern bar/bistro style, they didn't opt to lean into the traditional Italian scenery that a lot of places in the area like to do. Good amount of space, but it can fill up quickly when things get busy.Starting with drinks, they have a great selection and I highly recommend "One of the Boys" or "Oak Trees" as far as cocktails go. Both citrusy and on the sweeter side. Also have a good selection of wines and beers from local breweries like Northport and Sand City if mixed drinks aren't your thing.Food was also great. The kale Caesar is fresh and well dressed, crab cakes are light but flavorful, shrimp cocktail is simply done as it should be but the quality of what they use really prevails. But let's get to the namesake, the pizza. I go with the rule of thumb that if you don't do a good plain slice, you aren't gonna do the rest any better, and Frank's has a perfectly good plain. They do a more neapolitan style pizza, which I think is the perfect format for bar style pizza. My favorite pizza was definitely the pepperoni and hot honey though. All great quality ingredients and not greasy at all. For the more formal entrees their vodka sauce and their meatballs rival the quality of my own mother's (don't tell her!).Staff was friendly, attentive, and quick to serve the whole party, never feeling like we were waiting around for anything.Parking can be a little tight in the attached lot, but there is a lot of parking just nearby in the municipal lots or on the street that shouldn't have too much of a problem finding a spot.Would be glad to come back here on my own accord, as Uncle Frank has won my heart and is a VAST improvement from the bar that had been the location prior.

Visited Uncle Franks in Wantagh on Friday 2/9. I have eaten at blackbird in Wantagh before and since it’s the same owners, I figured it would be good but they do NOT value their customers. It was just two of us and we arrived around 5:45pm. When we arrived, it was not busy and we were seated right away. We had appetizers and entrees and then asked for the dessert menu. The waitress came over once to ask our dessert order but we weren’t ready yet so we asked for a few more minutes. At around 6:35 (had been sitting less than an hour!!!!) the hostess came over and said we can get dessert but we had to get up and move tables, but “don’t worry you will be seated at a table still with your same waitress.” We told her we were ready to order dessert now but she said sure but we still need you to move tables because they had a big party that they needed that area for. How long would dessert have taken- 10-15 minutes? But still we got up and obliged. Even carried our own menus and drinks with us! She then proceeded to move us to the waiting area high-top seating at the front door. We had to wear our jackets it was so cold and we were basically surrounded by customers who were waiting for a table. So we got kicked out of our table and moved to the waiting area! They even walked us by another available table for 2! We said forget the dessert, there’s not even any space to eat it and you basically kicked us out of our table. The waitress apologized but it was certainly not her fault. They could have done a million other things- dessert to go option, free dessert, apologize and ask if we can eat our dessert quickly. The manager didn’t even come over to say anything yet was the first one there when we got up from table to make sure it was being cleaned off. We will NOT be returning and suggest you don’t either unless you want to be treated poorly.

I was there with my two girlfriends-we shared the fried artichoke caeaser salad-wings and broccolini for apps and the meatball kale pizza—it was all delicious. Service was great-we all said we will go back.

Delicious food!! Pizza is outstanding and carbonara is unreal. Cocktails are way overpriced, but it's a must try for the food.

Hands down the best spot I could have stumbled upon. The pizza, appetizers and cocktails were amazing. We sat at the bar and we were lucky enough to have Steph help us. She was friendly, helpful and most of all knowledgeable of the in’s and outs of the menu and what Uncle Frank’s really has to offer. I can’t wait to go back and try everything else.

You can come for the pizza or come for the cocktails. Just make your way to Uncle Frank's . I love the service, the cocktails, the food, and especially the pizza. The menu changes but thenfood.is.always fresh and delicious.

It's amazing to me how good their pizza is. It's not a typical restaurant, more like a neighborhood bar, but the food is terrific. Kylie was our server and she couldn't be more attentive and friendly.

We started with cocktails which were delicious. Then proceeded to a salad which I highly recommended then the little neck clams, pizza and pasta! The brick oven pizza is the only way to go! Everything was on point including dessert! Can't wait to go back!

Really wanted a great sourhshore location for dependable consistent Italian influenced menu...unfortunately did not deliver. Meatballs stood out, but rest of meal weak. White pizza mediocre, rigatoni ragu pasta servile too. Small portions, and overpriced. So sorry!
