Mayer’s is one of those places that seems like it hasn’t changed in over a hundred years (hand painted signs, unfinished wooden floors and fixtures, the smell of fresh apples and frying dough) and you hope that it never does. Shhhh! Don't tell anybody about this secret sweet spot for dinner. Fish fry with shrimp for lent was so yummy. Great down home service with a little band playing in the bar area.

Delicious variety of ciders and tasty boneless wings! We were the only guests when we went and it was the most intimate date night out we'd ever had. Krista was very kind, friendly, and attentive. The interior of the space is rustic and the bar itself is gorgeous. Krista sent us home with the unsold donuts for the night and our kids loved that the next morning. Amazing that it's been there for 187 years and we just discovered it! Can't wait to go back again, and highly recommend.
