“The food was well prepared and beautifully plate. The student servers were knowledgeable, friendly, professional and efficient. We were lucky enough to have a table next to the giant glass wall overlooking the kitchen. Overall an amazing day.“

“Want a great wine list (without an hour-long wait for a seat)? Come here. Want a yummy little snack with your wine? Even better! I wouldn't call Sonder a hidden gem, but perhaps an undersung highlight of Kingston in general and midtown in particular.“

“What an amazing place. Selected it as a venue for a gathering of friends as an upstate/downstate geo midpoint. Food was unbelievably amazing (ordered off appetizer menu, late night menu, but the whole menu looked great), hosts Russ & Helga were warm welcoming and friendly, live music from Ethan Levy was perfect, every server and bartender were top notch. We will definitely be back. This is a rare Hudson Valley jewel that I am so glad we found.“

“really good restaurant in an area where these are a few and far between. The chef balances, creativity, seasonality, and good straightforward, cooking to create a range of compelling menu items, so much so that it is hard to pick. There is a large and inviting hearth in the kitchen, so we try to choose dishes that were fire kissed. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable, and the drinks list has everything you need including a lot of well selected and clean Wines.“

“Every element was perfect from the candle lighting to the food quality to the wine selection to the place settings. Service was professional, courteous, and attentive. Adorable decor. This place exemplifies that high quality doesn't have to also mean pretension. Can't wait to come back.“
“Love this little bar. There's even a small balcony with a view to the Gunks, and a little raised bed of herbs that the bartender uses for drinks... so fresh lavender in your cocktail...be still my senses, only one at a time please! Service is always lovely and welcoming. If you like Bourbon, a cocktail called the "Bees Knees" is the way to go.“
“I've been a long time customer of Knaus. It's a wonderful neighborhood wine bar. Generous pours, excellent, friendly service & art surrounds you as you relax. Go here for a quick dinner of a very tasty sandwich, salad or flat bread. Sarah is simply amazing what she can do with such a small kitchen & prep area. I've met the most amazing people because Sarah is such a great small business owner. She brings people together& is a big supporter of local artists. Highly recommend.“

“First time here and everything was surprisingly good! We got there at 3:30 on a Sunday afternoon and they had just swapped to Dinner service which was just right for us. Jenny had the chicken and I had the special pork chop and both were good. Service was very good! Both the hostess and our server (who looked just like the Duchess of Sussex except with a pleasant demeanor and a smile) were excellent. The place is relaxing and nicely decorated. We spent 90 minutes here, so don't expect a quick "in and out". Thanks - we'll be back!“

“During a recent visit to town for the Easter Train ride, I had the pleasure of discovering Buns Burgers. This charming spot offers a convenient order-at-the-counter service complemented by a cozy self-seating area that invites you to relax and enjoy your meal. The highlight, undoubtedly, was their burgers – each bite was a juicy, flavor-packed delight that exceeded my expectations. Although I'm usually not one to indulge in fries, the basket we ordered was irresistible. The fries achieved that perfect crispness, making them an exceptional treat. When dipped in the signature Bun Sauce, they transformed into a wonderful side to an already impressive meal.“
“We only went in to have a beer, they had a nice selection and we all found something we liked.Wheelchair accessibility: We were able to get the wheelchair inside due to my son's wheelchair being quite narrow. The disappointment was that they only have high top tables for sitting so he was unable to use any of them.“

“We went to Vigneto several times and really enjoyed their professionalism. The staff/owners greet you at the door, take the time to talk to you respectfully, and ask regularly if you are satisfied with the food. We highly recommend Vigneto.“

“We got a huge welcome when we walked in and the atmosphere is totally awesome! It looks like we are right in Mexico! The service was super quick and someone was having a birthday here and they all had hats on. They were all singing as a group it was really cool. If I drank, they have a huge menu of different margaritas. My husband had one and it came in a huge glass with decorative fruit all over.“

“We have had an early (4:30pm) dinner this past weekend. We have been there several times before but over 15 years ago. No specific reason for the lapse. just never got back. Our past experience was: Food and service 5 stars, Atmosphere: upscale (dressy), Prices: reasonable for the quality and portions. The steak Au Poivre was the best I have ever had. New experience: The atmosphere, is more casual -(almost "rustic"), The host wearing a flannel shirt, and the waitress wearing a down vest. After other guests arrived, I thought it was a bit noisy but then realized there wasn't a person dining under 80 (guessing hearing problems, LOL), I'm 65 and felt like a kid, LOL. No worries, it didn't affect my food! LOL!. Food and service: The calamari was skimpy but cooked perfectly. The French onion soup was VERY VERY good!! The Steak Au Poivre... is STILL the best I have ever had! The fries, well I like the crisp-crisp-crisp, but did not specify.. They came out perfect to my liking. The bourbon list, only Knob Creek and Bullitt, drinkable but it would have been nice to see some eagle rare, Blantins, etc. The "house" wine was yummy too. No dessert, we were very full. SummaryL We would absolutely go back again and not wait 15 years! 5 stars from us. Note; we liked the casual dress... I dont mind wearing a shirt and tie but we did feel more relaxed in casual attire.“
