This is an Asian household. I'm Chinese, my wife is Korean, and our kids are mixed. Besides the authentic regional asian cuisines, in every neighborhood we've lived, there is always our go-to #chinesetakeout spot. Here in #westburylongisland there is no exception. Our go to spot is #chinatownkitchen off Post ave. I've talked about this local spot many times. Yes, that's duck! This Chinese take out actually got their version of 三寶飯 3 treasures over rice roast duck combo. #longisland

I dont know who owns the building but above building looks like rental a beautiful dog rest his head everyday out these large very dirty windows. Can someone at least open the window a bit give the dog some air. Looks very musky I don't even think the dog can see anything through the thick film. Thanks

I went to this restaurant yesterday for the first time. I drove 20 minutes from my home because other reviewers said it was the "Best Chinese food" they ever had. It was, in fact, the worst Chinese food I had ever had.First, the best part: The woman behind the counter was extremely nice. He thanked me multiple times for coming in. It was the first time I've even seen a Chinese person give me a big full tooth smile. That was the only best part!!I ordered the orange chicken combo with fried rice and an egg roll. I told the woman that I had to travel a good distance back to my home so I wanted to make sure the food stayed hot so if she could wrap it in some type of heat holding packaging, like tin foil. She said we put it in this nice plastic container (and she held it up to show me), and then we put it in a nice paper bag. Yikes, that's what every single chinese restaurant on the planet does!! She acted like she was giving me some kind of special treatment!! I didn't bother to argue with her. She understood what I wanted, she just didn't want do anything above the usual.Next, the egg roll. Like meatballs at an Italian restaurant, I first judge a chinese restaurant but heir egg roll. It's usually a precursor to the rest of the meal. And this was definitely the situation here. This was the most pathetic egg roll on the planet. It was about an inch thick and 3 inches long. Less than half the size of a usual egg roll. Being so thin, there was basically no room for any filling. So all you got was crust. Hard, oily crust. I took the egg roll out of the bag as soon as I got in my car and to add insult to injury, it was ice cold!!Now the rice, I ordered pork fried rice and I got yellow rice. The orange chicken was just as disappointing. It had bits of orange peel in it but the sauce was brown and heavy with no hint of orange flavor. The reason I like orange chicken is because the citrus elevates and brightens the flavor profile. Here, just a flavorless brown goop. Last, it was soooo spicy. I've been eating orange chicken for 20 years and even if I order it extra spicy, I can never get a hint of heat. Now, I don't say anything about spicy and my mouth was on fire. You can't win.Needless to say, cross this restaurant off my list.Parking: Only street parking

I don't find myself getting Chinese takeout too often, but I had some cravings recently for General Tso's so I hit up Chinatown Kitchen a few times over the past few months. This place is on Post Ave across from Rite Aid and it looks like a pretty standard takeout place. I have to note that their customer service definitely seems a bit better than your usual place. The woman who I spoke with was friendly and answered questions well. The guy I spoke with recently seemed nice as well and was very big on calling me 'my friend' when I spoke with him. LoL. So I've gotten the General Tso's lunch special with pork fried rice and wonton soup twice (comes out to $8.15 total) and I recently got an order of Beef Chow Fun (comes out to $10 flat). These are prices with cash, so make sure you pay with cash, or else there will be a credit card fee. The food is pretty solid all around. Nothing spectacularly amazing, but pretty well executed and fairly tasty. The General Tso's wasn't overly saucy, which is a good sign. PFR was pretty ok. Wonton soup was solid. I also think they did a pretty good job with the Beef Chow Fun, as the noodles were cooked pretty well and weren't overdone and soggy. I've gotten Pad See Eew from Thai places that were actually worse. So good job to them on that. So overall, nothing much to complain about here. The prices seem pretty fair considering it's 2023 although I wish I could still get lunch specials for like $5.50 like how it was back in the day. Solid 4 stars and recommend.
