Seems like a good joint for locals. The beer was ice cold ($5 each) and the bartender was friendly but we felt out of place. 80 years in business... they must be doing something right.
The owner Joe was there and attentive. Joe came rite away to say hi and offer us drinks,and food. He had hot dogs,sausage,cole slaw,and chips. Very nice guy. Listens to his customers and knows what they want. If he doesn't have what you want. Joe will send someone just to make sure your happy. Great place espionage at st paddys day.

Joe and his wonderful gang of regulars are so welcoming, friendly and fun! The Tavern is becoming a rarity with its wooden bar, comfortable family atmosphere, central and convenient location in the heart of town. It is a great place to have a celebration or event as well as a nice place to grab a drink yourself and watch the game with the guys. My friend Kathy and I love the place and Joe is just a fantastic, warm and witty host! We love the place!
