I was disappointed and had high hopes for this place. I traveled over an hour to celebrate mine and my goddaughter's birthday brunch. The decor was gaudy and maybe under renovation because the wood paneling on one side caught my eye and was warm and inviting. First, I wiped down all of the glasses and utensils with my table napkin; these items seemed worn; they don't pay attention to what the customers see. There's a wonderful restaurant I frequent, DeNovo, and the table settings are impeccable. I always see the busboys wipe down every single fork, dish, and glass prior to assembling the table. The restaurant is not fancy but it has pride. Second, the chef used sub-par ingredients. The food didn't seem fresh and when we asked for well-done home fries, they were in tiny bits and pieces, deep-fried and soaked. I had the eggs benedict and the Canadian bacon gave me agita and a headache (perhaps high in nitrates). Third, and the most redeeming quality of this restaurant was the service. Everyone was pleasant, attentive, and warm. The staff did an excellent job. I truly loved the server's Long Island accent. I don't live in the area anymore but it brought me back to yore when I was a young girl. I hope they don't take this review as a negative criticism but as an opportunity to improve some of the basic things it lacks.

It's really about a three and a half star. We came here for my birthday brunch. We had a reservation but we didn't really need it. When we entered there wasn't anyone to greet us. It was a good five minutes before anyone came to check on us. But after we were seated we got our menus and water. There was also a complementary cornbread that was still warm. I ordered the Eggs Benedict with Steak. My husband had the French Toast and my daughter wanted the Nutella French Toast. When our orders came out I didn't notice right away that it was incorrect because it did look good but before I touched it I got it returned. They apologized and brought it back in. My husband already started eating his before he realized he got the waffles instead of French Toast so we decided to ignore it. My daughter really liked her Nutella French Toast. When I finally got my order, it was very good. The eggs were nicely poached. The hollandaise sauce was creamy. The steak was a perfect medium. My only criticism was that hash brown looked good but tasted stale. There were parts that looked crunchy but were mushy and gritty. (I wonder if they just reused the hash brown from my first order.) And not that it matters to anyone but I love Pikachu so they get a half star back for the Pikachu decor.

Food and service were incredible. I had ravioli with shrimp on top and it was overly amazing. I'll definitely be coming back to try new things

I went to Monroe’s for brunch with a group of 11 people to celebrate a birthday. David and Frank were our servers and they took amazing care of us. Our whole group did the bottomless brunch option and our glasses were never empty because they were quick to refill them. They also continuously checked on us to make sure we had everything we wanted. The food was great! I had the sliced steak sandwich, it was delicious. The french fries and home fries were exceptional and perfectly seasoned. Everyone was happy with the food they ordered. I highly recommend visiting Monroe’s. We will definitely be back!

3.5 stars! It was conveniently located in Westbury downtown area with a parking lot in the back. It was easy to make a reservation online and they accommodated our big party easily. The place was a cute themed restaurant of marilyn monroe. I ordered the brunch special which was pretty good and the bottomless drinks of $20 pp. The food was decent and the service was decent. The bathroom was so cutely decorated it was like a girls dream bathroom lol. It was a cheap place to brunch which comes in handy in this crazy economy just not the best tasting food to be 100% honest.

We did an event for out Sorority here. It was a pleasant experience. The food was good and was refilled several times. Service was buffet style, and the wait staff were helpful. There was a bar where drinks could be purchased. When we gave speeches, we asked for the speaker's music to be lowered, and it was. My only slight issue was we had a curtain that separated us from the other party, so there was competing noise. But they left about an hour after we arrived. Our space was semi-private so that was to be expected. Otherwise it would get 5 stars.Parking: There is a free small Parking lot behind the restaurant. Maybe can fit 10 cars.

Food The restaurant is called Monroe's restaurant. The food was really good. I recommend the pork chop the most because the flavor of the food was really great. And the pork chop was perfectly cooked. I also like the Caesar salad, which was good but not the best. I really liked the penne. Service The service was unbelievable. I rate it a 10/10. Our server, David, was very nice and checked on us repeatedly. He took full ownership of the experience and went out of his way to ensure we had a great meal. I cannot think we have had a better service experience in the last five years!

I took a friend there for dinner... We were treated like family!!! The owner Joe is extremely personable and very accommodating. The waiter Frank addressed us by our names and made sure EVERYTHING was perfect!! Did I mention the food was to die for...I had the glazed salmon dish... absolutely amazing!! The restaurant is clean and well laid out. Just overall great!!

It was my first time visiting Monroe's and I have to say it was fantastic. We were there for a brunch for my sisters 50th birthday and the food was very good, the service was outstanding, and the atmosphere was perfect. I would like to return for either lunch or dinner but I highly recommend the brunch.

Monroe's is a must visit! I am so thrilled that Tesoro's former executive head chef, Hoss, finally has his own place!!! He is the best Italian chef on Long Island and I have loved his cooking for decades! The menu and food at Monroe's is absolutely fantastic! From the moment you walk in the door, you are greeted by friendly staff and impeccable service. To start, we ordered the baked clams and mussels marinara and couldn't be more pleased. For dinner I ordered the special which was branzino livornese and I was thoroughly impressed. My husband raved about the special he ordered which was rigatoni with shrimp and lobster. There was nothing left on his plate or I would have loved to try it for myself. All the seafood was cooked perfectly and flavoring was superb. The menu has something for everyone and you can tell they use the freshest and highest quality ingredients. We can't wait to go back again! Thank you for a delicious meal Hoss and all the lovely staff at Monroe's!Kid-friendliness: We brought our 3 nephews aged 4, 7 and 9 as well as our children who are 10 and 13. Amongst them they had chicken fingers with fries, chicken parm, penne alla vodka and pizza. They also devoured the tartufo for dessert. They all loved their meals and were treated so sweetly by all the staff, specifically Frank and Joseph. It is perfect for date night and/or family night. Can't go wrong! There is something on the menu for everyone!
