3.5 Stars I've had River before at their other locations and actually like their sushi since it's reasonably priced and done pretty well. So when I found out that they were opening in 99 Ranch's food court, I thought it was a great option to get quick sushi from. I've already ordered from here a few times already and although it's a good take out option, it's not the best. There's only one worker in the front preparing all the things from the sushi menu and another person in the kitchen. It took soooo long to get my order to be done since there's really only one person working on it, and they get calls and online orders as well, so your order could easily be backed up. Their party trays are very well worth it for the quantity that you get. And although they still try to make the presentation pretty well for a take out spot, the quality of some pieces of fish here just isn't as good. Their salmon is probably the best quality out of all the fish I've tried from here. At least anything with shrimp tempura is freshly fried to order. I would order from here again for a quick fix but it's not the best sushi. Their other storefronts are better.

I went to the food court next door to 99 Ranch to grab dinner with my family. We all went to different restaurants to order. I went River Japanese but service is so slow. I waited over 25 minutes and there was only one person at the front counter and one in the back. My family was more than halfway done with their meals when I got my food. Food was just average and not worth the wait.

A coworker informed me that the 99 Ranch food court was fully open, so my dining companion and I decided to check it out. We chose River Sushi aka River Japanese Cuisine because the roll offerings looked good and the prices were reasonable. We selected the $25 two special roll deal which came with a choice of soda, soup, or salad. The rolls were good, but I wouldn’t say that they were filling. If two adults are sharing this special you are probably going to want to get something else to supplement the sushi.I would return to River Sushi, but if I were extremely hungry I would likely visit one of the other vendors to find something to pair with my sushi.

I’m a huge fan of river sushi and I’ve always gotten it at their original location but this location that they have recently inquired sucks because they didn’t really specify where the location is..I walked around the whole mall just to find out that there inside a supermarketThe only reason why I put a 1 star is for the lack of customer service the staff had and the lack of details of the location.Other than that the food great just be prepared to get lost

This was not good at all! I ordered the dinner hibachi box and the chicken had a weird taste and on a bed or red and green bell pepper. The menu said vegetables not just bell peppers. I didn't get the hibachi sauce that was supposed to come with it. I paid 2 dollars extra for vegetable fried rice which had no flavor. I had to recook everything at home with sesame oil and soy sauces. The sushi was good and so was the miso and ramen. Other restaurants guve shrimp tempura with the bento box and gave me both the miso and salad with my order.

All sorts of debris found in our food. When I returned it, they accused me of putting it in the food and wouldn’t refund my money avoid at all costs.

The kitchen is very unhygienic. Gloves are not on. Touch the edges of the food directly with your hands. The chef puts the food directly to his mouth and smells it. junk store

River Sushi is in 99 Ranch Market and is fairly new. At this time, service is slow, and certain things are not in stock, like salmon, when we visited. The food is ok. It's nothing special.I'm a bit disappointed being that it's a new establishment. I would not recommend it at this time.

We have found our new go-to sushi spot in Long Island!!!I am absolutely in LOVE with their salmon sashimi that melts right in your mouth! My kiddos love their boiled eel over rice. All the sushi here is very FRESH, and it's true! This is a new branch of River's located right inside of 99 Ranch supermarket. Big parking lot outside. We do mostly takeout, but if you dine-in, they do have several tables. The pricing is not bad compared to the city. The party trays are priced reasonably.I definitely recommend this place to other people who like sushi!Tip: Get 10% off if you pay in cash!!!

I just came here for a quick lunch and the sushi was so fresh. They prepared my order in under 5 minutes and the price was very reasonable. I normally go to the Oakland Gardens location since it’s near my home, but I’m glad I have a sushi option when I’m out in Westbury. I don’t leave reviews often, but I wanted to support a new business, plus the lady who took my order was very nice.

I tried the sushi place inside 99 ranch. The 3 rolls was like $17.50 which is pricier than nearby sushi lunch specials. The texture of the rice... as you can see have too much water. You cant see individual grains. I wont be getting sushi from there any more.Cash 10% discount

First note, this is the newest option in the 99 Ranch Market food court area. I've been there twice now. First time for sushi and the second for ramen. The sushi was great and priced within reason. The pork ramen was delicious. I tried my friend's chicken and shrimp hibachi, and while it was cooked wonderfully, it tasted like teriyaki to me. The vegetable tempura was a tiny bit oily, but good texture and flavor. I would suggest calling ahead as they do take about 15-20 minutes to prepare the food, unless you want to wander the supermarket while you wait. There's plenty of parking and they have a seating area so you can dine there if you want to.
