Stumbled upon this place after ordering take out from here and was pleasantly surprised to find it inside a supermarket filled with isles of amazing international foods. Unfortunately, when we arrived home we realized we were given the wrong order and immediately called them and they kindly Ubered our correct order to us without any charge and let us keep the wrong order. We ordered: 1. Scallion pancakes with sliced beef - a favorite 2. Steamed bbq pork buns - huge and pork was delicious but too much dough to meat ratio 3. Sesame chicken - too much dough 4. Chicken with broccoli - healthy option and delicious They had a promotion and gifted us 6 pork soup dumplings which were a fav as well. I will definitely order from here again for more dim sum style food as there are so many things I wanted to try. I also like that they have frozen options for dim sum to take home and make yourself. I recommend picking the order up to check out the food bizarre as well.

Had General Tso's Chicken, Cucumber and Garlic, Duck Chin in Maggie Sauce. Everything was fresh and very good.

I'm so glad that shanghai you has a stall in ranch 99 now! It is literally so convenient to pick up when we go grocery shopping or for a late night meal. The service is relatively fast and the prices are decent. We always get a braised pork belly dish and recently also tried their beef noodle soup. The braised pork belly is so tender and flavorful and love that they add quail eggs in with it. The beef in the noodle soup was tender and the broth was delicious and rich. The noodles might have been slightly overcooked but still delicious. We also always get two free duck buns which we love! This is a great take out or eat in place!

Note that there's a 4% surcharge for credit card transactions, so definitely bring cash when you come! My favorite is the scallion pancake with sliced beef - it's delicious. However, unlike some other establishments, they don't provide sauce on the side. Another standout dish is the beef pan fried udon noodle! Since we spent more than $10, we received a complimentary sample of the Peking duck bun. In addition to their menu offerings, they also have ready-to-eat options such as sesame balls, youtiao, rice cake, and cold dish appetizers, as well as frozen dim sum available for purchase to enjoy at home. I'm glad there's a location closer to home now, and while they do offer seating, it's primarily a grab-and-go establishment.

A food court in an Asian Market you say?? I have been going to Bayside location for 7 years. I figured the food would be comparable to the Flushing and Bayside locations. Never did I think that this place would be even better..and yet here we are. I think it's well established that SYG has the best soup dumplings in NY. Both the pork or spicy pork soup dumplings were superior here in the Asian Market Food Court. These were more flavorful, juicier, and the spicy pork was far superior to the ones in Queens. Im so happy that I wasnt disappointed. They have a nice selection of frozen dim sum to take home as well. I highly recommend the homemade pork and chive & the soup dumplings. You'll need chinese black vinegar and some fresh ginger to round out the sauce

Im so sorry but this you garden is not it... Of all the you garden locations has the worst soup dumpling by a large margin. The dumplings themselves are smaller & barely contain any soup. The dumpling dough is also a little thicker than it would normally be at their other locations.

Great food. Prices are good too. They have wide variety of specialty foods this is a must try for authentic food

We used to travel to Queens to get some dim sum. So glad that Shanghai You opened here. They are known for their wide spread and good taste but I feel like dumplings are not one of them. I tried the rainbow soup dumplings. They looked good but all of them kind of tasted the same and the amount of filling was very less. I could barely taste anything. Best to stick to the other dishes.

Love the food! The pork dumplings in chili peanut sauce are perfect!!! We also love the rice cake dishes with chicken and with pork and preserved vegetables. We will be going back to try more.

The long anticipated wait of Shanghai You Garden is finally over! I ordered takeout since the seating is limited in the 99 Ranch food court. Scallion Pancake with Sliced Beef - just as good as the Flushing location but wish they put more sauce. Beef Pan Fried Udon Noodle - wasn't as good as the Flushing location and the noodles weren't soft but a bit tough. Steamed Roast Pork Bun - there was plenty of filling and the buns were huge! Sweet Sticky Rice Roll - there was very little pork floss with some sugar sprinkled on it. I think the Salty Sticky Rice Roll comes with more pork floss so I'll try that next time. Peking Duck Buns - these are my favorite so I had to get some to try. If you purchase $20 worth of food, you get one free. If you purchase $30, then you get two free. I ended up getting two and was disappointed. The skin was tough and the duck was salty. I'm not sure if it was an off day or the duck wasn't fresh but it was nothing like the Flushing location. They accept cash and credit card with a 4% surcharge for payment.

Newly opened at the food court inside the 99 Ranch supermarket , located at 1500 Old County Road, Long Island. We ordered the soup dumplings, noodles, sticky rice and soy bean milk. Authentic Shanghainese breakfast . Got 2 pieces of Peking duck for free. Food is clean and tasty. It's the same owner from You Garden in Flushing Queens. Will come back again!

I was in the area for some good Nosh food at Food Bazaar but I hadn't eaten yet & wanted some good Chinese Food. Yelp to the rescue. I wanted Beef Scallion Pancakes & this place popped up. I over ordered. So many choices! The Beef Scallion Pancakes were the biggest best stuffed I've had so far. The HUGE Crabmeat & Abalone Soup dumpling was light & the broth full of crab fattiness. Delicious! The Beef with Hot Chili Peppers over noodles was perfectly spiced. They also packed all of the dishes expertly to go. Separating the noodles which I absolutely loved. But the highlight was The Braised Fish Belly in Brown Sauce. I'm an on the bone kinda girl. Chicken, Steak, Fish etc. So this was right up my alley. The fish was fried just right. Then smothered in a delicious brown sauce that will leave me craving this dish for a long time. Try this dish if you enjoy fish. And the rice was fluffy! Go figure! With everything I ordered I received a free order of Peking Duck Buns! An order of 5, well stuffed with duck skin & meat with the perfect proportions of cucumber, scallions & hoisin sauce. I highly recommend this spot for a good meal. Prices were comparable too. And the service was friendly & precise! 1-14-2024

Not as good as Queens locations. Slower service and always underestimating prep times just to get you to order. 4% additional fee when paying by credit card is by far the HIGHEST I’ve seen in NYC and Long Island. You need to be extremely hungry and craving their menu if you want to eat at this branch.

I usually visit the Flushing/Bayside location for dimsum. They give out tea and if you spend $10 or more, you get free pork soup dumpling. Westbury location is order at the cashier, pick up your food, no tea or water and you get free one peking duck wrap if you spend $20 or more. Tried paying with credit and was told there is a 4% processing fee. The highest fee I've ever heard of. Food tasted the same since it's frozen/precooked. You don't have to tip.
