What a great find..Left Montauk early and decided to stop for breakfast on the way back westbound. Googled places to eat around West Hampton and Eckart’s popped up. Gave them a try and we are so glad we did. Place is old timey original, service is spot on and friendly, and the food was fresh and delicious. Will be back, a definite go to place me.Cash only….Breakfast and lunch, closes about 2:00pm

Eckart's was a cute luncheonette I have never been to. The food was pretty good. It was a bit difficult for me to order as I am gluten free. I feel like some of the prices are way too high. The milkshake is 8 dollars...I could purchase two half gallons of ice cream for that price of a single serve shake. The side of coleslaw was the size of a condiment cup... It was delicious, but it was hardly anything to be considered a side. The staff was nice, but could have been a touch more attentive. The decor was old timey and nice to look at. Overall I was a little underwhelmed, but it may have to do with my dietary restrictions.Dietary restrictions: They gave gluten free bread. It was a nicer quality one, but all a lot of the dishes were bready and made me frustrated for a minute while ordering.Parking: My party went at a good time, so we were able to find parking. However, I could see it being a little tricky to find parking close to this establishment.

I've been going to Eckarts since I was 5 years old, as my parents and grandparents. Theyve kept many of the old touches in the building right down to the root beer barrel I remember as a child. The Eckarts are lovely people, and ingrained in the community. Tried and true menu, but not afraid to add new things. Comfortable, non pretentious. Love it !! The only place I go to in WHB.
