The Pho here is really amazing. Vermicelli bowls are also very good. They have a variety of proteins to choose from (beef and chicken are my favorites). We’ve had take-out and dine-in, both were great. I just hope they never change the recipe for their soup!

I don’t know why there are negative reviews. I have been here many times for many years and think this is a very recommended restaurant. And the store has been renovated recently.

From the moment you step into Ginger and Lemongrass, a Vietnamese culinary haven in Whitestone, you're enveloped by the aromas of authentic, rich flavors that promise a delightful dining experience. I have frequented this restaurant multiple times, and each visit solidifies my love for their exquisite cuisine. The star of the menu is undoubtedly the pho. The soup base is deep, rich, and layered with flavors that make other versions seem bland in comparison. It's a comforting bowl that brings the essence of Vietnam right to your table. Equally impressive are the savory cakes, which are a unique delight with a subtle hint of coconut that tickles the palate in the most pleasant way. While I enjoy dishes with a stronger heat, the coconut spicy lemongrass soup was a well-balanced medium spicy, suitable for most taste buds. However, the real surprise was the steamed seafood paired with garlic bread – a combination that enhanced the flavors and added a satisfying texture contrast to the meal.Despite the restaurant's bustling atmosphere, especially noted during our last visit at 6:30 PM, the service remained commendable. Although there were minor hiccups, like two items missing from our order, the staff's efforts to rectify the situation were noteworthy. They promptly addressed the oversight with the kids' pho and graciously compensated with a complimentary coconut pandan lemonade, which was a refreshing end to our meal.Ginger and Lemongrass truly stands out not just for its authentic and flavorful dishes, but also for its dedication to customer satisfaction. The packed house is a testament to its popularity and the quality of its offerings. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic Vietnamese dining experience in Whitestone. Their commitment to flavor, service, and a genuine dining experience is evident in every dish and interaction.

I adore this place! The decor is incredibly charming. Although I've only eaten in a few times, I've ordered delivery so often that I've lost count. My ultimate favorite is their spicy lemongrass soup and steamed bun pork—I always go for it! Dipping the bun in the soup is divine. And my partner loves their Turmeric Fish With Dill, but he opts for quinoa instead of noodles. We've also savored their shaken beef; the flavors are fantastic! I can't forget to mention the beef tartare—it's fantastic too! I highly recommend all the dishes mentioned. And trying their curry is on my list too—I'm sure it will be amazing!

Today marked our second visit to the restaurant. We opted for two substantial servings of Beef Pho and Summer Rolls as appetizers.Regrettably, our orders encountered some confusion—initially, the summer rolls were delivered to a different table, requiring us to clarify and receive our correct order. Similarly, the Beef Pho found its way to another table before being redirected to us.As we concluded our meal, the bill totaled $44.64. Despite paying $100, the server approached us with the question, "Do you need change?" This inquiry seemed unnecessary. The change was handed over without the customary small tray, amounting to only $55. When I inquired about the remaining $0.36, I was informed that the restaurant's policy did not include providing small change. It would have been more preferable if the server had communicated this policy when initially returning the bill and change. Subsequently, the manager offered a handful of pennies, asking if we wanted to receive the $0.36 in this form. We declined. While the food met our satisfaction, the overall dining experience left us disappointed with our lunch.

Ironically Good!We came here for a friend’s birthday at the whitestone location. Reservation for a party of 8 was at 7: 00 PM. Upon seating, the waiter came by approximately 10 minutes later to take our drink order. 35 minutes later, the drinks finally came. Unfortunately, they messed up 3 drinks and even after that, it took them another 25 minutes to bring out new ones. When they came with the drinks, they told me they didn’t have my drink. It took an hour to get that results, and change my drink. We are now approaching 8 PM, server has not taken our order yet, shortly after 8 PM, the another waiter came to take the order. Around 8:20 PM, the food came and to our surprise, it was absolutely delicious. This absolutely redeemed the poor service we experienced so far! Finally, for desert, they brought out a complementary birthday desert with a candle and apologized for the poor service.Verdict: Overall, this establishment offers a very nice ambience, and though we experienced poor service, they were able to redeem themselves with both the delicious food and the presentation of the desert which was absolutely delicious. I would give it one more chance!

Ordered the beef pho and didn't enjoy a single bite of it. Soup bland and cold. Beef so tough. Terrible noodle texture. Very small portion. Didn't even get the usual side veggies that is served with pho at every Vietnamese restaurant.I really don't understand the great reviews. Can't depend on ratings anymore.Server spilled soup on my brand new jacket and totally ignored it. I will always remember this place whenever I wear the jacket cuz the greasy stain is not coming off!

Came here twice. Once for their Beef Pho &second time was for their Coconut Lemongrass Soup. The servers were kind and thorough with the menu, food came out quick. The place has a nice green scenery, cute lunch spot!I highly recommend their Coconut Lemongrass Soup over their Beef Pho. If you enjoy a nice soup on a cold winter day &you're in Whitestone, try it out

This is an amazing, authentic and absolutely delicious Vietnamese restaurant! The service is fantastic and very attentive. The chive dumpling appetizer is a must. I also love the fact that there are many vegetarian options. Super clean. We will definitely be back soon!Vegetarian options: There is a vast vegetarian selection.

Best Pho soup! Service was better when owners or management was present. Cocktails were minimal and not worth it. Even after saying it’s not good, they didn’t care. Stick with bottled beer.
