Outstanding menu. Delicious food prepared with obvious passion for food. It was a rather slow night so it was great that the chef came out to greet guests. Shows a real love of his restaurant.

Cugino’s is such a hidden gem! From the moment you walk in, you’re treated like family. The ambiance is very intimate and romantic while also being inviting to larger groups. The owner is always on site and personally cooking or overseeing every dish that comes out of the kitchen. The dipping sauce for the bread is to die for. Meatball was amazing and their homemade pastas are incredible without being overbearing. My go to is the Chilean seabass which is always cooked to perfection. Special shoutout to Angela, our favorite waitress from Portugal! Her incredible service makes us want to come back again and again. 10/10 recommend if you’re looking for a new Italian date night spot.

The best thing about this restaurant was the outer exterior. This is definitely a case of you can't enjoy the book by its cover. When I walked in and sat at the bar the waitress said she was shocked because she not used to seeing a woman sitting at the bar by herself. OMG that was so insensitive and rude. It's a good thing I have great self-esteem that will have crushed me if I didn't. Lol. Then When I asked for and whiskey sour the lady in the back screamed out w an attitude "We don't have sweet and sour mix!" That's ridiculous a full service bar with no sweet and sour mix first of all if you are a real buyer you should be able to make a homemade sweet and sour mix. Then I ordered a crab cake for my appetizer it was so bland, flat and full of breading. The description read it comes on top of some greens but I had none on my plate, all I had was some grated Parmesan cheese and a whole bunch of white sauce drizzled on top of it. I can tell it was store-bought and frozen. That definitely turned me off because I'm used to getting real lump crab meat crab cakes. But I already ordered my entree so I was going to give them another chance. I ordered the shrimp risotto dish and the risotto was crunchy not cooked all the way through. I mentioned it to my waitress and she said yes it's al dente LOL. I told her that I know how risotto is supposed to taste and its supposed to be soft not hard. I couldn't take anymore I told her to take it off of my bill and just give you my check she did apologize. I will definitely not be back. The restaurant has great potential but it needs a lot of work. The prices are not matched with the quality of food at all.

Just had Valentine's Day dinner here. Service was painfully slow and the meals were not prepared correctly. They didn't seem to be staffed correctly and the whole place felt cheap despite the prices on the menu.

What happened here on Valentine’s Day? I’m giving three stars because we’ve been to Cuginos before and were impressed by the homemade pasta and excellent service.Yesterday was impressively awful. The restaurant was chaos with staff yelling at each other all evening. The restaurant was clearly overbooked with reservations causing lengthy delays. Service was extremely slow. Honestly, all would have been fine if the food was up to usual standards. My pasta was clearly boxed spaghetti and was hard and undercooked. My chicken parm was rubbery and hard in the center. Altogether this made for a long and expensive Valentine’s Day outing for food that was largely inedible.I’m leaving a review because the staff didn’t seem to care when we tried to tell them how awful the food was. The response we got was “we know everyone just wants to go home.”

My boyfriend made a reservation at this restaurant for a nice Valentine's Day date. The review photos showed the restaurant to have a nice ambiance. We get to the restaurant and we wait 30 minutes with a reservation to be seated. Some people were waiting to an hour. Once we get to our table it is clear to see that they are understaffed. It took about 30 minutes to order food. We ordered an appetizer and they begin to bring it to our table and then the waitresses begin to fight right next to us screaming that it was for a different table and took it away from us... awkward. The calamari was extremely chewy, caesar salad and crab cake were average. While we were waiting for our mains the staff was fighting and throwing around the F word. Not okay. Us and other tables were looking around at each other thinking what the heck is going on! Our main dishes come and the lobster ravioli was not cooked on the outside, needed to use my knife to cut into ravioli... crazy. Bolognese was so so. Paid way too much for an extremely uncomfortable, high tension, and poor night. Will not be returning. do better.

What would have started out as a 3 star review has dropped to a 2 star review as my long evening went on at dinner tonight. My husband and I had made a reservation at this restaurant for Valentines Day. I always like to try new local restaurants. We arrived, and the atmosphere was serene. We were greeted by beautiful piano music and wonderfully set tables. I was ready for a great evening. In the restaurant business you can only get so far with the quality of the food, service counts for a majority of the experience, and this is where my patience ran thin, as the night went on I became very frustrated. Our waitress did not want to work that night, which she made a point to tell us in our few interactions. I mention "few" because she barely checked on our table and took forever to see us. We weren't the only ones feeling this pain. All of the tables in the section were thinking the same thing as we all gave each other looks and exchanged glances. I should have known the evening was going to be a disappointment service wise, when I asked for a food reccomdation our waitress responded " I don't know, I don't eat the food here". When I ordered my drink, she responded, " You can't have that no peach juice." As we waited for our food we tried the salvage the evening our food came it was good. I wish I could rave about it and say it was worth the wait and the price. My husband had a steak and was not given a knife , and the server didn't check on us once so he had to "cave man" style it with a fork and the one butter knife at the table. After we finished our dinner and our plates sat on the table, we waited and waited for our waitress. Our plates were starting to harden up with the reminisce of food, reminding us we had been waiting for over an hour for our waitress to come back. My husband irritated and got up and flagged her down. She finally came over and told us as she gave our check: "You picked the worst night to come out to dinner." I was shocked as were the tables around us. It's Valentines day, thats the only reason we are out for dinner. In conclusion, the food was ok. The atmosphere was nice, and the service was horrible. If you do decide to take the chance, do not go on a holiday, or you might have the same experience.

Unfortunately, our dining experience was marred by a lack of organization. Despite having reservations, there was no one available to seat us, and the absence of communication from the restaurant added to the confusion. With a growing line that extended outdoors and all parties with a reservation waiting for more that 40 minutes plus without any word from staff or acknowledgment of any kind caused heated tempers. The dining room atmosphere became chaotic, and frustrations rose as seated guests waited without being served. Seated individuals eagerly awaited service but encountered displeased employees, with audible frustration in the form of raised voices. After waiting for over 45 minutes and being unable to communicate with the staff, we unregrettably left. Subsequently, receiving an email about a no-show further added to our disappointment

My husband and I went to dinner for Valentine's Day. We had been here before and the food was very good and so was the service. Being Valentine's Day, we expected it to be busy. Luckily our reservation was earlier in the evening. As the restaurant started to get full, the staff was overwhelmed. One waitress in particular kept threatening to walk out at least 5 times and I'm sure other customers heard her. Our waitress was doing the best she could but never came back to see if we wanted coffee or dessert. The calamari was delicious and our dinners were ok. The restaurant obviously could not accommodate the amount of reservations they had. By the end of the night, the staff was fighting amongst themselves in front of customers. This is unacceptable! We were disappointed to say the least. We were supposed to have an upcoming girls' night out at Cugino's, but unfortunately after what we experienced tonight we will not be going back.

Sadly, our reservation wasn't honored even though I had a confirmation email from Open Table. The hostess told me that she updated their Open Table status and it wasn't her fault that we couldn't get our seat. No offer of a takeout order, to eat at the bar, or even a small gift certificate to come back again. Poor service and I will not be going there again. Open Table - you need a better way to know when to stop taking reservations for your restaurants.

Very disappointed in our dinners. Quality of the food was poor to fair, and the prices were obviously adjusted for Valentine's Day. We ordered off the "special" menu (which had no prices listed) and were not happy with our food. Service and ambience are very good, however.

I had a wonderful lunch with my daughters at Cugino's. The service food and atmosphere were outstanding! Our “host” who I believe is the owner, enhanced our experience with his warm and welcoming demeanor. Looking forward to going back for dinner soon!

The service was so bad we had to go somewhere else for dessert and a drink. Never offered to refill my wine, didn't tell us the specials, didn't offer us fresh Parmesan or fresh pepper for our meals. We didn't even realize this was offered or any specials until we saw the other tables get this. The food was good but I would not recommend coming here. Maybe you have to be a regular to get service here.
