Very friendly staff that was willing to make accommodations for me for my diet and allergies. Felt very welcome and not a burden for asking. Had a good amount of vegan options Will eat here again.Vegetarian options: Pita, Baklava, falafel, wraps, salads, hummus, etc.Dietary restrictions: I’m allergic to cashews and pistachios. Never got to try Baklava before and was excited to find that not only was it vegan friendly, but they had a pistachio-free option for me too! I was shocked. I’m also vegan and they made sure I had a delicious hearty meal for me free of meat or dairy.
Everything looked delicious, a full menu with tons to choose from. However I wouldn't know what any of it tasted like; as I had none. While deciding what to order the preparer behind the counter explained "if you order anything it'll be an hour before you get your food." This is a take out spot. If they weren't ready to operate at full capacity, DONT OPEN. Absolute horrible start for a grand opening; and big disappointment.

First time trying the food. A lot of people mentioned the Greek fries so I had to check it out. They were very good a lot of flavor. The tomatoes work well with the sauce. Would recommend a protein to add to them. The staff are friendly maybe a little slow and unattentive to the register. Sometimes there is a bit of a wait. Still a pleasant and happy experience.Parking: Easy to find parking.

Service is outstanding. Young man that's at the counter is always friendly, polite and courteous, Re: the food, falafel is good but the chicken shawarma is great, chicken souvalki always has lots of feta and the garlic sauce is the best in WNY. Everything is always good and hot when picking up....I've read comments abt. food being cold and can only say that if your order is cold that's a delivery issue not the restaurant as my food when picking up has always been hot and flavorful.

Ordered the Gyro platter for a takeout dinner and it was delicious. I had the option of fries or rice and I went with the rice option. Would return to try others things in the future.
So sad we love Greek food but won’t be ordering from here again. We wanted to eat dinner out on our deck but after it was delivered over 2 hours later the food was cold and the sun had set. On a weekend I could understand more but it was a Tuesday. Wait was not worth it.

Did you know that they have home made hot sauce? Because I've been going to the original location since it opened, and today, at this location, is the first I'm hearing of this! It's so freaking good!Anyway, shish tawook platter with hot sauce. It was awesome! It's just as delicious as the original location, but with home made hot sauce. Did I mention the hot sauce?!But yeah, clean, nice environment, staff was super friendly and nice, food was excellent and I'll be back next time I'm up this way. Probably for the hot sauce, haha!

I'm really surprised to see some of these negative ratings and reviews. I have been getting Venus since they opened way back in University Plaza like over 10 years ago. I used to go to their prior Niagara Falls location, and recently visit in Amherst. I have never been disappointed, and I go out of my way to get their food. Staff is always kind. I have had chicken shawarma, falafel, chicken souvlaki, Greek fries, garlic feta dip. Not once has anything been bland or off. Honestly, I crave the stuff. Very delicious. I'd say give it a shot if you're on the fence. I have no reason to blow smoke, and I'm honest in my reviews. Really cliché, but would recommend!

The food was okay could have been better. The service was terrible because the person working counter didn't know what they were doing and there was only one cook and she couldn't handle all the online orders and take or dine in. Not enough workers.
