This is my new favorite local spot after only 1 visit. I got the eggroll which was delicious, scallion pancake very good, wonton soup also very good (wish wontons were a little harder) the Lo-mein which was delicious and the chicken and broccoli which was phenomenal! I can't wait to order from there again and they are definitely my go to spot for Chinese right mask

It is simply awesome to hang out and wait for an order to be prepared and witness the amazing owner get five phone calls, and already know her regular customers order plus their unique and specific requirements with each item; then see her lovely interaction with her family as they all jump in to work on the multiple orders on a cold December night in 2023 on Long Island in New York. She has this constant smile that is real as she welcomes this lady who just wants to get a can of soda and then helps her with her change on the counter. She pays special attention to my specific order, asking for extra garlic sauce to go with my broccoli and fried tofu. She ensures an extra medium sized container with this sauce is placed with my hot n lovely soup and my gorgeous and smoky lo mein. The broccoli is done just perfect. The sauce is divine. The packaging is just right and easy to maneuver. This is mainly a take out restaurant with maybe five chairs and the phone ringing constantly. Simple inside but churning out old school and delicious NY Chinese food that we love. Chen's Kitchen has the perfect location just north of Roosevelt Field Mall, east of New Hyde Park and south of Roslyn. Great food, really good prices, nice portions, stellar care and service and your new fav Nassau County NY Chinese restaurant rating await all!

Chen's is now our New favorite Chinese Takeout Restaurant. The staff is friendly and attentive. The food portions are good. Nice ratio of main ingredient to fillers. Proper amount of spice in my Kung Po Chicken, plenty of Wontons in the Wonton soup. We were very happy with our ordes.Update 1/1/2024New Year's eve take-out from Chen's Kitchen. We have been enjoying our meals from Chen's since we first tried them 3 yrs ago. Our New Year's Eve order was no different.Moo goo gai pan; Perfect as always.House special Mai fun: just as my wife likes it. My bff loves this place so when I saw they were finally on one of the apps which meant could use credit card, we ordered some take out. It was delicious! Always love finding new places for us to eat from in the area. Not that this place is new but it's now on our list of go to for Chinese.

Great take out Chinese restaurant. This place has been my go to spot whenever I need something quick and good. The prices are great and their food are tasty.
Clean and friendly, however, Hot and sour soup was hearty, but unnecessarily too hot (spicy). Wonton soup too much salt. Egg rolls, just ok. Beef w/brockley and shrimp w/vegetables, just ok. Disappointing. Wouldn't go back.

I ordered food from them and found a roach in it. I was eating my food when I found a dead roach. I spent 10 mins in the batroom picking my guts out!!!

Maybe they had an off day but purchased boneless spareribs combo with an egg roll. Rice was alright, egg roll was kind of good but the sparerib was horrible. It was dry and burnt everywhere, ended up throwing away half and just ate the rice. Will never go back.
