Went for a birthday celebration with a group of 20, and the place was what you expect from a small Italian neighborhood spot. We had family style plates of appetizers and entrees, with individual pasta and salad portions. The apps, pasta, and entrees were very good, but the caesar salad was too fishy and not balanced.Definitely not a cocktail sort of place as their bartender was less experienced. Stick with the wine. A lot of people were there celebrating a birthday as well so it was quite funny to hear the birthday song as many times as we did. Overall we had a nice time.

A very disappointing experience at La Parma this weekend. This restaurant has been a family favorite for years. I had not been to the restaurant in a long time since I do not live in the area any more. The service was extremely slow and the food was not as good as in the past. The chicken parmigiana was very dry and we didn't even finish a quarter of the dish. I am devastated as we loved this restaurant.

In searching for a private venue for my daughters communion I was referred to this place by a friend. I called them to see if they had the date of the event available once they confirmed it was available; my family took the drive over to finalize arrangements. We were able to view the second floor private room. We were thrilled! We then went to the counter and filled out paper work. We reviewed their event binder with the staff to be sure that the date and time were available. He made sure to check the binder to be sure that the date and time was available. Once he triple checked we paid $500 deposit and finalized our paperwork. I went on to make invitations and book the entertainment providing the information for the place. I get a phone call a week in a half later informing me that the date was booked. I was furious! What kind of establishment solely apologizes after my husband and I viewed their books and clearly saw that the time and date we selected were available. After speaking to the manager and the employee they solely apologized and offered to refund the money. How kind of them to offer a refund to their huge mistake! I do not recommend this place to anyone planning an event! Now I am stuck with these useless invitations and back to square one finding a place to host the event! They offered to host it in their first floor public dining but that is not what we agreed to! Awful customer service! If you like being scammed then this is the place for you! Complete waste of time and completely stressful!

The place itself is nice and the staff are overall very friendly. The food is alright, however on the pricier end compared to similar options in the area. Unfortunately, I found a hair in my food and I'm not one for commotion how others can be when a situation like this arises. As someone who has worked in food service, I made it aware to a staff member discretely to not alarm other guests. The staff member proceeded to deny that the hair was originally there because it broke into pieces when squished against the table. I'm not sure of the chemistry behind it but I imagine hair becomes brittle when exposed to high temperatures. Anyhow I didn't request for the meal to be discounted or anything but nonetheless the staff member came back to deny that the hair was there and charged us for the meal anyways. I would have appreciated at least an apology, instead I was treated like an idiot.

My all time favorite Italian restaurant! The portions are served family style. Service is great! The food is always consistently delicious and the staff is always attentive and friendly. I love the calamari arrabbiata and the mount Vesuvius desert is the best! Highly recommended.

This place used to be amazing, but the food quality had gradually deteriorated. This will my last time dining with La Parma. The pasta and sauce are just so plain. The sauce tastes like it came from a can. Absolutely no taste at all. At these prices, it's an embarrassment to serve Italian food that tastes this bad. Random Delis with buffets actually have much better pasta and Italian food.
