Of course I loved my March Special Philly with Mushrooms. Today, my mom arrived from India at JFK and I decided to introduce her to American Vegan food :) She said, "chaalaa baagundi ", which means very good, a high compliment!One of the greatest treats about visiting India is food (colors and live dance musicals are another); there's a ton of plant-based eats but the vegan food has some ways to go.

The food is not the strong point of this place, I'm sorry to say that I've never had worse guacamole, and while the food is very aesthetically pleasing it doesn't taste good. The place is small and cute, if I had the choice to eat in I would've. Overall while the menu and service are good, the food does not measure up.

I'm not vegan but the "chicken" sandwich and the burrito were excellent. Fresh ingredients. 4 stars because I haven't tried much on the menu yet. It's very small and parking is on the street so best for take out.

Excellent options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I had the quesadilla and would definitely recommend it. No public bathroom and not a place you’d sit at for a long time with three tables and a small counter. Good for pick up or a quick bite.

This is by far one of the best vegan spots I have tried. The sunny side up avocado toast, bacon egg and cheese, and quesadilla were my favorites but everything is phenomenal. The staff is beyond amazing as well, and are very sweet and helpful !!!!! This is going to be my go to spot moving forward- try it, you won't regret it.

THIS IS THE NEXT MOVEMENT!If I had to pick 3 words to use on my first time here today (2/1/24) I would say "that's Fk'n Delicious!" My wife found this place from Yelp and Google maps. I was surprised to see this place existed in Mineola. My usual spots were either Japanese ramen spots, Mediterranean, and God knows I hate salad. As a new vegan I love cooking my meals and rarely spending money on outdoor dining. But I'd drop money just to eat here. The ambiance is chill and I met Dina who was absolutely adorable and kind. The prices are good compared to many vegan spots. The food flavors are phenomenal and not bland. My burger cheese was not however top notch but it was amazing to say the least. I'm a cheese snob so I just had to be honest. But this burger was not dry at all.We ordered the Thursday loaded fries special, white bean soup, I got the sweet bean burger, and my wife got the Avocado Toast. And we got dessert. This place is clean and parking is not hard to find. They are also going to host a nice Valentines event. I love rustic restaurants with humble beginnings. And I can tell this place will be around for a long time. I invite all my vegans across the NY state and nationwide to try this place. Tell them Mick sent you. Went back again with my wife who wanted to try their food. We split the black bean lentil soup. She had a burrito and I got the portobello burger this time. All great choices and delicious. Thanks again!

I placed a pick up order at Rock n Roots last week and it was pretty disappointing. The person who took my order Roop, explained the flavor of what I was getting because I asked, but when I got my food, it was so dry, bland and did not taste half as good as I expected. I got the Sushi which has shiitake mushrooms and man I'm never getting it again, I will give them one more chance to see if I can become a regular. I'll be back here to update my review!
