Terrible customer service. The staff literally have no intelligence. Tried stealing my doordash order and no compensation. The food also was tasteless. Expected more from a 4 star

Food tastes great but the portions are incredibly small. Probably 70% of what they should be. I was not full after splitting the pad thai and massaman curry with a friend. We paid $40 to not be satisfied ?

Food is delicious and I love the fact that they have an entire vegan menu and not just 2-3 options.

Ate here with a group of 14-15 people. The owner is an absolute gem. He accommodated our group size and he and his staff went above and beyond to make all of us feel comfortable and welcome. The food is fantastic. You can really tell a lot of passion goes into the all of the details. I definitely recommend this place for any and all who love Thai food and to those wanting to try something new. It will not disappoint.

I recently gave I am Thai in Sunnyside another shot after avoiding it for a while due to past service mishaps and a decline in food quality. However, my most recent visit on a Sunday evening at 8 pm left me with an experience that felt far from a satisfying meal.Walking into the restaurant with my partner, we noticed only a few other guests either enjoying their meals or waiting for them. The initial impression was positive as we were promptly greeted by a server who handed us the menus. However, what unfolded next was a series of disappointments that left us perplexed. After around 5 minutes, the server returned to take our orders. In the meantime, my partner went to fetch two beers since we learned the restaurant was BYOB. The night was still young, and we settled in, expecting a delightful dining experience. However, the clock ticked by, and our anticipation slowly turned into bewilderment. Roughly 20 minutes later, the server reappeared with an unexpected twist. Apparently, the chef had found themselves in a culinary whirlwind and couldn't fulfill our order. The apology was appreciated, but it left us wondering how a restaurant could operate with such disarray. This experience highlighted several issues that could hurt both customers and the business itself. The lack of communication and coordination, especially during a relatively calm evening, was concerning. It wasn't just the waiting that bothered us; it was the disappointment of a promise unfulfilled. This incident made me question the restaurant's professionalism and management's ability to handle even basic operations. In an industry where reputation is crucial, incidents like this can have lasting effects on customer loyalty. As much as I wanted to enjoy the food, this experience cast doubt on the restaurant's commitment to its patrons. After giving I am Thai multiple chances, I've come to the unfortunate conclusion that this visit will be my last. While there were enjoyable moments in the past, recent events have indicated a larger issue. It's disappointing to say goodbye to a place that once showed potential, but I believe it's the right decision for a better dining experience elsewhere.I wish the establishment all the best and hope they can address these issues to offer consistent and reliable service to their customers.

Amazing spot in the neighborhood.I always order to go, pad thai with crispy pork belly and thai tea but decided to eat in today.Small space and it gets busy too. They have amazing selection of thai staples and have a lot of vegan options too.

I AM THAI is one of my favorite Thai places in the area! The service is fantastic! This is a small family owned restaurant. The food is really good. Try the crispy fried chicken or fish if you get a chance! They also accommodate food options (allergies/restrictions/vegan/vegetarian) I come here at least once a week!

Mom and pop place that is a hidden gem. Nothing like their crispy pork belly, massaman curry, and any style of rice. They come thru time after time ??
