This pizzeria has been around over 50 years at least. The pizza is very good! But do you want to know what you should NOT MISS HERE? THE FREAGIN' CALZONES!!! The calzones are tiny but packed with deliciousness with every bite! These mini stuffed calzones are filled with hearty fillings of meat and cheese. The meatball - the veal with peppers - and the cheese calzones are dropped from heaven's pizza ovens! Service is basic. The customer service is hit or miss. The ambiance is Old School Bronx pizzeria down to the 70's orange colored booths! Enjoy!

I was looking for a snack and was close to this place; I looked up Catania's on Yelp. It looked like they had good pizza and reviews, so I stopped by. There was a short line. People were ordering to go and a few people were sitting in the booths there. It seemed like a busy place. There were 3 people behind the counter who were cooking and running around the shop. I ordered a Sicilian and a vegetable slice. The slices were pretty large; these will last me the next few days. Each slice was two portions and bigger than the average slice. I grabbed two slices to go and tried them. They were fresh and hot. Their slices and pies go quickly. I'd recommend ordering ahead. There were also an array of calzones and other options available at the counter. I'm in the area frequently, and I'd definitely stop back again to try more of their options.

Excellent taste on real Italian flavors, good amicable people, very clean and reliable restaurant. Safe and quiet. Will keep going always for a great Spaghetti and meatballs.

If you like burnt pizza then this is the place for you. Mozzarella sticks tasted like school food and had a weird texture.
Great pizza that makes the taste and flavor of competitor pizza slices: dry or nonexistent. Not sure what spices used, but taste satisfying pizza. Slices are big, and even better when the base of the pizza is on the softer side.

Typical pizza place with a few tables if you opt to eat in. Every time I come home, I always try to make it here for a slice of the salad pizza. Nobody makes this pizza as delicious as Catania. My online order was quick took only 20 mins and my order was ready to be picked up.

Was recommended by a friend, I order a few cheese calzones, crust is crispy and it was good.The only down side is they charge for sauce. Like really? A spot known for calzones and they wont give you any, at least for the cheese one- i understand if they have chicken parm or other fillings dont need sauce.Its like going to get fries and they charge you for ketchup, going for wings and you have to pay for ranch/blue cheese. Anyways undecided if i will go back.
