In the past I would speak very highly of this restaurant, that was until the more I ordered the more I was getting different portions for the same kind of over price. Not even just that or how a Spanish couple walked in (im black btw) and asked for elotes fine they get theirs me And my boyfriend asked for some as well and the younger teenage lady then proceeded to say they had none after me and my boyfriend just saw them and we said that to her then she said the ones they had were bad. So we brush it off whatever get our normal food while we’re waiting another Spanish couple comes in and orders elotes as well and just as expected she serves them the elotes. Even if they were bad why were they being served? Being served to everyone but the blacks? I’m not one to point racism but you can’t come on lake tryna be racist. Especially when we’re putting money in ur pockets. Now the cherry on top the cake that made me stop eating here is when I ordered my usual chicken it comes with rice beans plantains on the side tortillas and the chicken itself is in a separate container with peppers onions tomatoes and red sauce not too sure what the dish is called. But it was RAW RAW CHICKEN. THEY SERVE RAW CHICKEN, so I went back simply asked for a refund because the chicken was raw lady that’s usually there started acting like she didn’t know English brought my food in the back for a few minutes man came out and asked my issue I explained it’s raw he said overcooked I am a cook myself I understand what’s raw and what’s not. He steady insists I’m wrong and the chicken is over cooked not knowing what they could’ve done with it in the back. Then refused to give me a full refund for the chicken entree. Bad customer service to people who are trying to do you good shame to you.

Amazing! Did not expect to visit New York and find some of the best Mexican food I've ever had! Enchiladas are my favorite and every new restaurant I try, I always get it; these are likely the best I've ever had! So much depth and flavor. My husband loved his wild mushroom quesadilla and the sauce with it paired so well. The churros and sauce were perfect! Cannot recommend this place enough!

Not familiar with the area so I just picked from the phone map app. Brought us to a busy street, with a lot of eateries and so much Halloween decor. Coco's is a small place, with 3 tables and a window seating area for 3 people. But, so many people going in and out. Luckily, there was a table when we got there. We ordered at the counter and someone brought the food to our table. Pretty big menu so we tried some food which were new to us. Pancita is a red, spicy soup with tripe, served with soft tortillas. Seemed like a soup with a lot of chili-type oil so wasn't for me; I just ate the tripe pieces with rice and beans and I liked that better. Chimichanga was fried, filled with a lot of shredded beef and cheese - a bit salty so needed to eat with the salad and rice and beans it came with. Lengua tacos were ok, no distinct flavor or texture for me. Elote de la esquina was boiled corn (not grilled) with a generous amount of cotija cheese and red pepper but was neither too salty or too spicy, which was good for me. Smart to put in a tall plastic drink container.Street parking - we were lucky to find one nearby though.

Cannot COMPLAIN .This place has incredible food at incredible prices. I ordered birria tacos ? ( they come in a pack of 3 and consome sauce to dip) . I loved the taste , quality and quantity compared to the price ($13.50). I ordered to go so I cant rate the restaurant it self but would’ve definitely left a tip for this amazing food . Loved it in every way , super tasty ?.

good food, price and portions horrible.this place is weird because even if you order the same thing its going to come out different. i got an esquite one time and the lady gave it to me in a cup with a good amount of mayo that doesnt overtake the corn, i was satisfied because it costed me 4 dollars which is already weird for an esquite. i go in another day and its a different lady, i ask for the same thing but this time i see she cut the corn in half (it’s supposed to be the entire corn) and dumped it all in mayo, and placed it in a little small plastic container. just very unpleasant and all for the same price of 4 dollars. i don’t think ill go back since the place can already be expensive, their food is good and tasty, i just dont want to gamble if i’ll be given an acceptable portion or insanely small one.
