Melody made my daughters 1st birthday cake with a grinch theme which is her favorite! It was done with the best care and on time and was so special for our family. She is a genius and I would love her abilities for all my big events. I was so impressed and happy.

Good luck trying to reach her. Her customer service sucks. This celebrity baker needs an assistant so her non celebrity clients can get some type of acknowledgement. Number 1 pet peeve is a business that has terrible customer service. I guess you have to be a celebrity.

The cupcakes that I've purchased from this business were tasty and enjoyed by family and friends. They offer unique flavors (pina colada, guava, etc) that are sure to please the pickiest of picky. I haven't tried the custom cakes yet but from what I can see, the owner is very talented. Two thumbs up!

Ok......So Melody @MDVCustomcakes made the most beautiful and scrumptious cake that I have ever tasted. First off, her attention to detail was dead on and unmatched. Most of my guests did not even know that this work of art was edible. Next, the taste. This cake (Pina Colada flavored) was so moist and fresh and totally unlike anything I have ever tasted. Her service was also EXCEPTIONAL! Here is the most compelling part: Melody did what no other baker has ever done in my experience - she willfully and voluntarily gave me the extra unused pieces that were sculpted away rather than wastefully throwing it out or attempting to re-use it as part of another customers order. This to me demonstrates her authenticity and her recognition of her customers value and purse and the need to treat us fairly. To top it off - this cake was made in JUNE. I froze the extra pieces for 3 MONTHS and just ate my last slice on Sunday - September 15th!! I am now in WITHDRAWAL. Every 2-3 nights for the past 3 months, I was able to enjoy a small slice of cake heaven that maintained its freshness as if it were freshly made. Even the fruit filling stayed FRESH which most bakers somehow can't seem to let stay fresh beyond 5 days! In all of this, my only problem was hiding the cake in the freezer without my family finding it and getting up at the wee hours of the night to eat it without anyone noticing (God forbid if I had to share)! And to think..... I had this lasting enjoyment all because she willfully gave me the extra piece of cake without me even knowing that it existed! Thank you Melody for your integrity and your craft. God has blessed you with a skill and I look forward to the next cake!

ZERO STARS Scheduled an appointment through the website. Called at scheduled date and time, no answer. Requested callback, never received one. Forwarded appointment email and advised that I never heard back. No, acknowledgement, no response. ZERO communication. This request was for my child's sweet 16. I am Active Duty Army, and am coming home to surprise him. I spent my money elsewhere. I would NOT recommend this business to anyone, especially Military.

I live in North Carolina. I had a cake designed by MDV Custom Cakes for my baby shower. My cousin brought the cake all the way from the Bronx, NY down to North Carolina and the cake was PERFECT! It did not shift or move for the 9 hour trip. When we had the had the event the next day, the cake perfectly moist and the flavor was to die for! I had a three tier cake with each tier being a different flavor; Marble Dulce de Leche, Blue Velvet Cookies & Cream and Triple Chocolate. All of my guest raved about the cake! And the design was BEAUTIFUL! I had a jungle themed baby shower and the cake fit right in! I would HIGHLY recommend getting your cake here for your next event! I couldn't be happier with my experience and how easy it was to work with Melody!

All their treats are delicious and custom made to your preference. The owners are so cordial and professional. They put their all into everything they make. I ordered a dessert table setup for my wedding and they were on time and it looked fabulous. Everything was devoured in seconds. I definitely recommend them.
