Couldn’t find the place, called and they didn’t pick up- to make matters worse, my husband stepped on a piece of wood with a huge nail on it directly outside of where the place is and it cut him.

My husband and I had such a blast chatting with the lovely couple who owns and operates this distillery. We felt like family, learned a lot, and tasted great liquors!

I’ve been to dozens of breweries and distilleries and this by far too is the best in quality and customer service

The tastings were great and I was happy to support a local small business during these difficult times.

This was such a great group activity. The proprietors take a lot of pride in the quality of ingredients and process. The figs are organic and there is no sugar added. The result is a clean, fresh taste. Mahia is a special Moroccan liquor and David keeps the proud tradition going.

Beat experience I've ever had going to a distillery. Definitely come here if you're looking for great conversation and hospitality. Very intimate experience and it was amazing to support such a small business. Just one person doing great work, couldn't of asked for a better experience of the best American dream!

Very personalized, professional and informative tour! I really enjoyed learning the history of the distillery and the Mahia is truly something special!

When we arrived at the distillery, it was clear that production was at a standstill. During COVID times, they had been bottling hand-sanitizer instead. Still, the hosts were very gracious and answered many of our questions. I enjoyed the tastings and ended-up taking home a bottle of Mahia.

David and Dorit are an absolutely lovely couple with a beautiful, boozy dream. They produce some of the best bourbon in the country (not a hyperbole!) and they are just plain ol' really really kind. Worth a visit and a purchase!

What a hidden gem! Located in an industrial park in Yonkers, this is one cool place to visit. The owners, David and Dorit Nahmias, graciously came in early after we called to see where they were located. David told us the history of Mahia, a fig brandy that originated in Morrocco. So interesting to learn about the distilling process for it, but tasting it, wow! So smooth and tasty, 2 thumbs up.They also distill rye, bourbon and a distilled beer combo called "Spirit of Yonkers", all very tasty. Needless to say, a few bottles went home with us! If you are in the Yonkers area, this place is definitely worth checking out. Thank you David and Dorit for your hospitality!

Great spirits and conversation to lift yours! After having bookmarked this distillery for over a year, I finally found myself in the area for work and decided to book a tour on a weekday afternoon. The owners, David and Dorit, hosted me for almost an hour as we chatted over generous tastings of their signature mahia, as well as whiskey, bourbon, and their distilled beer liquor called Yonkers. That last one was a nice, complex surprise, but of course, I came for the mahia, which I tried straight up and then mixed with a bit of ginger liqueur and lemon juice. If you care about supporting local distillers and diversifying what's available out there, do not hesitate to visit.

My buddy came for a visit and wanted to do a few breweries and I thought, hey I always see a sign for a distillery we should do that. I made the appointment for a tour and tasting online. It said it should take 90 minutes all together. The distillery is located around a bit of a maze of warehouses and cars. It is kind of alone in its area when you find it. It's also not that big. When we showed up, they were definitely not ready for us. I'm sure the website didn't alert them, that's fine, we weren't in a hurry or anything. Plus we were really the only people there. The tour was quick, they weren't distilling at the time, so it was just kind of a this is what we do and this is the equipment we use kind of thing. They have a small bar up front and that is where we did the tasting. We tried the four different products, a rye, a bourbon, a distilled IPA and the mahia which is a fig based spirit. I'm not an IPA guy, so that was my least favorite, the mahia wasn't necessarily my thing either, but the bourbon and rye were absolutely killer. I've always been a big rye fan, but a lot people aren't. I decided on buying a bottle of the bourbon for the apartment. The place is nice, the owners are really good people. It was a fun little stop. Also, it was not 90 minutes, maybe 30-40. Might be longer if they are distilling. I'd absolutely recommend stopping in and taking the tour/tasting. Support local businesses.
