I've been a customer of OFF THE HOOK from the beginning. The same fresh fish and chips, the same quality service since 2006. This spot....is OFF THE HOOK. Now they have weekly events. Saturday and Sunday brunch. The ambiance is MATURE. had a birthday gathering here we had a great time. Thanks to the host with the most.

Brandon the bartender is an absolute sweetheart, the food and ambiance makes you forget like you’re in Yonkers. I will update the post soon with photos, but this place brings soul food to the next level. They have the best events and brunch specials as well. ❤️

I would like to give this restaurant a second chance and benefit of the doubt.— Online OrdersI placed an order online for takeout and the webpage said the food was available now for pick up. Then I got an email confirmation saying the order is currently available for pick up. This should be changed as the food would never be immediately ready for pick up.— TAKEOUTI ordered 2 of the same meals. 2 orders of hush puppies. I was disappointed that the cat fish were thin strips. I walked away with containers that looked half empty.I would like to know why 2 orders of hush puppies were combined together in one box? Two were selected for a reason— for two different people. So why put them all in one box?I was also missing an item from my order and had to return to the store. Upon calling to make them aware I was basically told my order didn’t exist… despite having to text the owner a screenshot of my order to pick up the food initially. The order was eventually found and I was given the missing item. The lady behind the counter was nice and didn’t give off any type of attitude that I absolutely would’ve expected anywhere else. The takeout area is small and there’s 2 chairs. It can easily get overcrowded.I believe the sit down restaurant side would’ve been a much more pleasant experience. The food is nice and affordable.

Off the Hook, never disappoints. The calamari was perfectly seasoned, and I like that they squeeze lemon on them before they are served. The crab cakes bites crunchy on the outside and fully on crab on the inside. This is the perfect spot for date night.

Today the food was off the hook, literally. I ordered a catfish dinner with 2 sides, Potato salad and greens. The time they gave it would be finished was correct. Take out.

Love this place. This is where you go on a Friday night when they have various themes. Went on a Jazz night and had a hoot. Karaoke is calling me. I might have to take the mic one night. ?

Off the Hook is a hidden gem for soul food enthusiasts craving a touch of seafood magic. From the moment I walked in, the aroma of Southern spices filled the air, promising a culinary journey like no other. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, perfect for a laid-back meal with friends or family. The menu is a symphony of flavors, offering classic soul food staples like fried chicken, mac and cheese, and collard greens, alongside fresh seafood options like shrimp, catfish, and salmon etouffee. Each dish is prepared with care and attention to detail, ensuring that every bite bursts with flavor. I had the pleasure of trying their signature dish, the Soulful Seafood Platter, and it did not disappoint. The shrimp were perfectly seasoned and succulent, the catfish was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, a true indulgence. Paired with their creamy mac and cheese and flavorful collard greens, it was a meal to remember. The service was top-notch, with friendly staff (shout out to Brandon, the bartender) who were eager to make sure we had everything we needed. The portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable, making it a great value for the quality of food you receive. In conclusion, Off the Hook Soul Food and Seafood Restaurant exceeded my expectations in every way. Whether you're a fan of soul food, seafood, or both, this place is a must-visit. I'll definitely be back for more! --- Feel free to customize it to better reflect your own experience!

Great customer service, food was delicious and the place was spotless. I had the pleasure to be served by "Diana" she answered my questions and help me figure out what I wanted to order and gave me great suggestion. I would love to order again with her and her upbeat attitude and her out going personality.

How did I not know about this place until now? In need of a southern, cajun, island flavor, Off the Hook popped up in my search. While not the location I would except to find such an amazing catfish po'boy, it certain stepped up to the challenge. Even late on a Friday evening service, the roll was delicate fresh and perfectly toasted on the inside. The large portion of catfish was equally flaky and robust. The salmon Étouffée rivals some of the best in New Orleans. The biggest surprise was the vegan butternut squash. At the suggestion of table next to us, we ordered a cup. Again, the portion was out of control. It was more of a bowl than a cup. The taste was a thing of beauty. A light smoky flavor accented a subtle jerked vibe in a near bisque consistence of the pure comfort food. I'm still wondering how this was vegan, I could almost taste a jerked chicken booth base. I'm not a vegan, by any stretch of the imagination. I'm just curious about the magic that must be happening in this kitchen. Give yourself plenty of time to fully enjoy a meal here. Great food, great vibe, and the cocktails are just what the doctor ordered on a Friday night after a long week.

I didn't know what to expect upon arrival. The food was DELICIOUS!!! It was definitely worth the travel from Connecticut to Yonkers, NY.The prices were reasonable especially for the quality of the food! They have so many options, I want EACH OF EVERYTHING!!!Go because it's great food, but also go to support a Black owned business. This young man and his family are in a business that is rough. It is hard work, and the profit margin is slim, but one can see he loves his work.
