I was a little skeptical when I heard that there was a new "Bob's Hamburg" in town. For anyone that doesn't know, the original Bob's Hamburg on East Avenue is an iconic eatery in Akron. Tiny 1930's style restaurant, with a super small flat top that I think was original to the restaurant, a small bar you can eat at, and maybe 3-4 booths. Get there early, because it fills up quick! Today marks a huge day for the city of Akron. As you may or may not know, Akron has a legitimate claim as the founding city of the hamburger. Bob's Hamburger has expanded into Highland Square and is situated inside Ray's Pub. This is monumental for Highland Square and Fairlawn residents because Bobs is a quick skip away from the local burger giants of Swensons and Skyway.
