Food: ordered three grilled cheese options and they were all delicious and just the right portion, highly recommend the goat cheese with mushroomsService: a little slow and took some time to get food out but very friendlyAtmosphere: very friendly atmosphere, lighting is dark but that’s personal preference. Our table was a bit dirty and so were the booths. Drinking cups tastes like soap.

Sorta gave me the 70's vibe!! Hard ass seats lol They were outta the Krab Dip (I was damn near ready to leave lol) The waitress was sweet suggested the Lawsons dip and chips. I didn't know the place specialties is grilled cheese . I got the grilled cheese with a portobello mushroom caramelized onions roasted garlic w/swiss cheese for around 10 bucks I added a chicken breast for 5-6 dollars. Honestly I coulda did without the chicken added a side of tots for like 2 dollars more. I think if you wanted a side like pasta salad, salad, sweet potato fries or fries it's addition 2 dollars slaw or goldfish no charge. My friend ordered fish soft taco w/ slaw I wasn't impressed sorta tooo soft sloppy made. He didn't say nothing but did mention if we come back he's not getting the fish taco. They played 70 music. I like the lantern lights throughout the restaurant. Black & white movie on both tv screens. *waitress mentioned there was a patio for the summer

If I could give this restaurant zero stars I would. The service was atrocious. I had to ask several times to get water and it was never refilled. No one took a second round of drink orders...while we waited TWO HOURS for grilled cheese sandwiches. Seriously. Once the food arrived we had to wait for silverware, napkins and ketchup. Because in two hours of COURSE you wouldn't have time for that. Our food was bland and greasy. I had the tomato soup as well...and it was an odd texture and tasted of vomit. After all of this debacle they credited us 25% off our bill, which was way overpriced. I could have gone grocery shopping and made the same food myself for less in less time...AND not have had to beg for water when I was thirsty. The absolute worst meal ever.

Ok - it's been two days since I ate at the Lockview and I'm still angry. We showed up at 6 and were seated right away, which was great because we had a 3 year old with us. And then, the dinner fell apart. Poor service. Had difficulty getting water. It was 2 hours between when we sat down and when our food arrived, with nothing for the kiddo to snack on. The server said the kitchen was backed up after we flagged her down several times...but tables that arrived well after us had paid and left before our food arrived. We ordered a side of fries to tide the kiddo over at one point and asked the server to please expedite it, which she said she would...but it came out with the rest of the food slightly before 8pm (so then we were drowning in fries). My grilled cheese was fine (nothing special) but the tomato soup was terrible - too acidic. My husband got a chicken sandwich and was equally unimpressed. The prices were very high for the food we got. That would've been tolerable if the service was great...but the whole experience was miserable.
One of my favorite places in Akron. Service is always good. If there's ever been an issue, they comp something on the bill. Will always return. Lots of vegetarian options. My husband and I also really like the crab dip and fried mac and cheese apps.

Went for my son's birthday dinner. The service was terrible. It was basically empty but took a while for our food to come out, and once it did, the waitress slammed our plates on the table.The food was not good at all. The cheese toast was very hard, and the cheese was not melted, fries cold, etc. I could go on and on, but simply put, I will never go back.
