It is closing because it sucks. Early on, the beer was good as was the service. Later, getting a beer was a challenge and they were not great. Very mediocre food. Clearly, this guy doesn't understand business, he thinks you can have a pipe dream, not commit to your business, then expect charity to survive. Shame on you brother. Grow up!

I have been to this location multiple times since its opening. The food has always been good and the beer is top notch. The service is always great and the atmosphere is always positive. The location is in the valley and a good one. Check this place out if you're in the area.

Beer is good. Never had the food. I’ve only been to the location in the Valley. Lost a lot of respect for this company and owner after he made a goFundMe page begging for money blaming it on others, hard times, and a loan. Dude, you made bad business decisions. The fact that you asked for 2.3 million is absolutely outrageous.

It would be a shame if Summit County lost Shea. We love coming to the Valley for lunch on days off. The beers are very unique, and you know you are in for something special with the lab rat. If you want food go to the downtown brewery - the Valley location has a very limited menu (I think they have a panini press and a fridge). If you enjoy train spotting the CVSR the outdoor patio is a great location!

Valley is just too far away from everything. Beer wasn't bad, definitely like the Downtown location better than this one. Thanks for the passport stamp!

We found this place as part of our Ohio On Tap app tour. It's a solid brewery. They have a somewhat small bar area and a unique lounge-like space to the left of the bar. When we were there, there was someone on a work call in the lounge while sampling the beer. Good idea! They have a good selection of beers, but a limited food menu. We ended up just having one drink and then moving on to the next stop on our tour. The beer was very good though - I enjoyed the Uncommon Blonde. If you're looking for a chill place to enjoy some good brew, R Shea is a good choice to check out. If you're looking for a full meal, you may want to try somewhere else.

One of my favorite breweries! Beers are always creative, very unique. Their ales/light beers are inventive. IPAs are pretty good but they really excel in stouts. Beers are reasonable at $5 a pint or $10 a flight. The food menu consists of apps and really good sandwiches. The Nachos are my favorite. Staff is very friendly and provide excellent service. Try to come early because it tends to get pretty busy around dinner time.

Wonderful rotation of beer. Affordablefood and fun lab rat and sandwich of the week specials. I've been going here for years and it's always been great.

I really wish I could give this more stars. The one downtown is way better, so maybe my expectations were too high.We were on the brew path. The service wasn't good. Twice I had to go up and get service. We waited long enough. The food was middleschool lunchroom grade. The Cuban....oh boy. First off let explain. I love a good Cuban sandwich. I've had many all over the country and a couple outside of the country. When I see one on the menu, I usually get it. This one was basically a gas station Italian hoagie with old lettuce and pulled pork. It wasn't good. The pretzels..... from Sam's club bulk pretzels or similar. They didn't even heat it up long enough. The middle was very cold. The hummus: not good either.Their beers were ok at best. I think the experience and bad food killed it for the beers. We couldn't even finish our flights.Next year, we'll stop in have a beer get our stamp and go.Friday Sept 8th 7-8pm

This is such a great, lively spot to have a fantastic craft brew! All of the staff were so attentive and friendly, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Albert even held the door so we could get our beers outside without even losing a drop (precious cargo!). Trevor offered multiple friendly and fun check-ins while we enjoyed our flight outside on the shaded patio. We explore breweries every weekend and will be sure to be back to the Merriman Road location. Thanks for keeping it real with killer brews and killer staff!

Typically, I'd rate this as a 5 star establishment. Especially as a regular customer. However, after essentially being kicked out by "Albert" today, I absolutely can and will not!!I stopped by on a Saturday afternoon at 1pm for a beer and sandwich of the week, quick but relaxing lunch. By myself, I opted to sit at the bar. Was the only guest inside. As I was sitting there, "Trevor" was talking with Albert and a female bartender. The conversation was happening right in front of me (again, only one inside), and Trevor's speaking exceptionally loud (probably emphasized by the emptiness). After about 10 minutes of trying to tolerate the overbearing loud conversation, I asked Trevor if he could possibly lower his voice a bit. To which Albert responded by first whispering about me with the female (apparently they do know how to do that ) and then saying to me "I cannot believe you told an employee to lower thier voice, who do you think you are?... If you don't like it, go outside or leave!" It was astonishing and took me a minute to comprehend. Finally, I said I can't believe you're talking to a guest this way. Albert continued to argue with me. I asked for a box for my sandwich that had just come out, and I had not even begun to eat as well as to be cashed out. When I asked for names, Albert said his name and Trevor's but also said, "Trevor is the owner's son, so good luck!" I downed my full beer and left. Albert said "good riddens" as I exited. They have permanently lost a customer now! I will not go back.

Wait, I may be thinking R shea and Magic City are the same place lol. Anyways, decent beers!

Stopped in for lunch. The drafts on rotation were limited as they had about 6 IPA's, none of which were Hazy, and no sours which personally I prefer. We tried the Citrus-Mango Shandy instead, it was pretty good. The food was slammin! I typically don't care for rye, but it blended so well I didn't even taste it. The staff were helpful and pleasant. The vibe is cool and relaxed. & The Cuyahoga Valley train rolled through while we were out on the patio. Very cool place.
