This was a great find on Akron! The owner was incredibly nice and welcoming. He makes all his food fresh. He also has coolaid! I know I didn't need it but the calorie counting went out the window because it was so fire. You must try the Hennessey wings also. The spot is a great for a meet up with friends. There are TVs inside to watch the game and a bar. Can't wait to go back. I'm looking forward to seeing this business grow in the next year.

If I could give no stars I would. I thought I found a gem in Akron but walking through the doors I knew I f up. I ordered 2 "momma's $5 dolls holla" - the description is "3 jumbo wings, fries and water" - when I see "3 jumbo wings" I am thinking nice size WHOLE wings. No! That's not what I got at all I got a half of a whole wing and a fking wing ding!!!! I am thinking "well maybe they messed up the order" I open my next box and the same exact portion is in that box. It's only $5 so I understand not getting A LOT but the description was VERY misleading! The fries was very thin cut and not $5 worth. I don't want to sound petty but they def should change the description & the price because it was worth all of $3! Anyways, we also got a Chicken philly and it was soooooo bland ! Now, I know d*mn well they didn't use one ounce of seasoning on it. Now, the only thing I'll go back for (if they were the last place on Earth) is the Grandma Cherry lemonade!! I guess Ill continue to drive to Cleveland's Open Pitt or Kim's wings to get some real "smack yo momma" food because whoever owe this spot need they a* beat for even naming it that misleading name. One last thing, they then either fell completely off or they pod this people to write a good review.

The wings were horrible this time. Dry and overcooked, almost as if the were fried twice. Probably the penalty for stopping in at closing time. The wings were huge! To bad that the meaty tasted like overcooked turkey.This was my second trip. The wings were large & juicy on my 1st trip, so I'm hoping that this trip was the exception.

I like my wings extra done and the sauce was the icing on the cake. I wouldn't smack my Mississippi Momma but they were Great! I would go more often if the wing were a little less, some specials, or they had a coupon. Not that they are not worth it.

Wings were EXCELLENT! They were large and meaty, and perfectly fried. The sauce provided was just right! I was less impressed with the chicken tenders. They tasted like bargain frozen chicken strips available at any supermarket.

The location in Downton Akron is still being put together but they really do pump out the best wings in Ohio! I make the trip from Buffalo NY through town often and these wings are different.. lot of meat and some crazy flavor options.. The small family / home cooking type of love is what you feel when you walk in and it's what makes this place so unique.. I'll always support mommas!

Ordered wings for delivery tonight, some of the best wings we've ever had. Tried the Hennessy, honey bbq, honey gold, and mild mamma. All the sauces were excellent. Also tried the chicken tenders with fries. Chicken was tender and the shoestring fries were tasty. Heard about them from the recent article on minority owned businesses. We will definitely try them again.

Don't let the quiet look from the outside fool you. This place is fantastic! Hot Momma wings are perfectly seasoned with a spicy pepper flavor, fries are great. My SO had the tenders and loved them with the garlic parm sauce. Will be eating here again while we're in town! Oh, and you should definitely try one of the lemonades, they're great as well!

Would not go back. Ordered the hand breaded chicken tenders and fries with cheese sauce and couldn’t wait to try them. Got the box opened and my heart sank. The fries were undercooked and unsalted and what’s even worse is that my hand breaded chicken tenders were actually frozen Tyson or some other frozen brand and tasted just as bad. Definitely do not recommend and will not be back.
