Went to Wise Guys this evening with a group of seven. We didn't have a reservation, but from the moment we walked in they couldn't be nicer. Jodie and Jo were the best. They rembered our names and were fantastic. The atmosphere, food and service were the best we experienced. All our orders were very tasty. Cudos to the kitchen and bar staff.

First time coming to Wise Guys. First of all love the old school atmosphere. Quaint, classic and comfortable. Very regal. Secondly, the food was amazing. Best steaks we have ever had. Everything from the salads to main entree to dessert was delicious. My only complaint is when we walked in. We did not have a reservation and came in within the first hour and half of them opening. Restaurant was pretty empty with a few tables filled. I am sure they did have reservations made for others coming in soon, so not all tables ready and available. However, our server, which I apologize for not getting her name was wonderful and accommodating. She was ready to seat us, until a young bleach blonde girl came over and made us feel uncomfortable and made a spectacule. She very loudly said "no, no wait". "We have a party set up and they are coming in". "Let me see if we have anything available". Proceeds to make us feel like we are putting them out and like she was doing us a favor by seating us. She proceeded to sigh and look through her book, then says "go ahead and seat them in that booth but do not seat anyone else who doesn't have a reservation". She was loud, and off putting and made us feel like a burden. She could have easily and quietly looked for a table for us and then call her servers to the back and inform them that the tables were now reservation only. Instead she decided to make a loud unnecessary scene to seat us. Again, our actual server was fantastic. If the bleach blonde is the manager she needs to learn tact and diplomacy. Thank you for a wonderful dinner which was to celebrate a birthday.

Service and atmosphere was great but worst steak I’ve ever had. They tried but sorry did not cut it. In response to the owner I have a great deal for you! Only $19.00 for a steak you cannot eat but it comes with a salad and free desert! How many would you like?

I have been coming to this location when it was Nick Anthes since I was 14 years old. I have always loved the atmosphere which has not changed; they still have the Nick Anthe dishes which is cool! Wise Guys has excellent food and great service. Tom is the owner and serves the wine; Alessandra is the hostess and Nicky and Laura are great servers. You will not be disappointed here but if you are talk with Tom- he will make it right!!!
We made reservations for a Saturday evening at 6:30. There were only people at 4 tables. That we out of their signature dish which is Halibut with nobody in the place. I tried to order 2 bottles of wine and they were out of both. Instead of halibut I settled for cod, which was just ok. They tried to charge me the halibut price for cod, which is at least half the price. I won’t be back and will not recommend this restaurant. In fact I have already told 5 couples not to go there.

Out of most menu items.Could not find a potato anywhere, the mashed potatoes they did provide were pasty and dry.Offered way too many excuses for being out of food for an early dinner service.The only real positive was the French Onion soup!

This place is such a hidden gem!!!! Amazing steak and chicken alfredo!!! Not a lot of places of au gratin potatoes. It's not much more than a bit box garbage chain bit you can really taste the difference!! Awesome wine list too. Laura was our server a few times and was always so nice and friendly and took care of us way above and beyond our expectations. Love the old timey atmosphere and the old nick anthy dishes really set a great mood. Heading there again tonight for the guliant NY strip!!Vegetarian options: Pasta is great. Even if it comes with meat, you can get it without.
