Great place for lunch . Great service from the staff .The jumbo with fries was awesome. I like how who ever owns this place has a real love for model trains as one rides around the whole place and there are others that look like they used to run them but don't anymore but it really cool to see something like this , reminds me of the 80s and 90s when people actually had hobbies that didn't evolve a phone in your hand. Well if you're in the area I highly recommend this place .

We were driving home from FL looking for a spot for lunch, I searched for BBQ and this was perfect! Counter ordering and then your food is brought to the table. This was a great chance to get out of the car without having to wait for a server to come to the table and take our order. My husband and I both had the jumbo BBQ sandwich plate with fries, baked beans and slaw. I was not a fan of the slaw, but I can be a bit of a slaw snob, the beans, fries, pulled pork and sauces were very good!! My son got a burger and fries, he said it was the best burger he ever had, although he is 9 and says that anytime he likes his burger, so high marks from the 9 year old! This place seems to do a very good business, which we were happy to see while waiting for our food. The staff was very friendly to us as well as to their regular customers coming through the doors. We did not have any dessert, but my husband sat facing the door during our meal and noticed a steady stream of people coming in and getting cakes and desserts, judging by this, I am guessing they are yummy and wishing we’d have gotten something to try! Well worth the stop!

Passing by and discovered this great place to eat! BBQ and FF was delicious! And topped it off with (me) banana cake and husband had CARROT CAKE! Both were delicious but that carrot cake was so so good!! We will stop back by!
I've been coming to this restaurant since I was a little girl. (I'm in my 30's) This has always been one of my favorite places to eat. Having lived in a couple different states and many different areas, it's become apparent to me that there are many different types and tastes of bbq. So many different styles! Westside has always been my favorite, though! Not only do you get huge portions, but the sides are fabulous and it's very reasonably priced. And the cake. OMG the CAKE! I will make up holidays and special occasions just to get some cake! My husband grew up in NC and he LOVES the bbq and cake! My kids love it, too! We've always had good experiences here, and have never had anything bad to eat. I just can't put into words how much I love this place! Make sure you check their hours since they aren't open all the time. Their facebook page is pretty reliable! Also, don't be worried if they are packed full. We usually grab our food to go since we don't live too far away, and it never takes them long to fill our order!

Skip the chains at exit 61 and head west to Westside BBQ and Cake! You will not be disappointed. (Unless you are in the neighborhood Sun-Wed, because they are only open THURS/FRI/SAT.). Cute atmosphere, good BBQ (three “Memphis” style sauces, I liked the Rib Sauce best), very good onion rings, and YUMMY cake. We had the Caramel Cake and it was amazing!
