There was only pepperoni available when ordering by the slice. I would've loved to try other options. The varieties look good and the slice I had was good.

We got the bbq chicken, the mt Olympus Greek and the super mushroom pizza and an order of the jalapeño poppers. Everything tasted amazing and was super fresh! We will definitely order again next time we’re in Athens!

The pizza was very good. We go to Athens several times a year to visit our daughter for a few days at a time and always try to order avalanche once.It was hot, custom items were all correct, phone operator was very polite and they delivered to our hotel with no issues.

Huuuge apologies to JJ and the nice girl with glasses working tonight that put up with me confusing her! I was under the impression my sister ordered a pepperoni pizza and not the Hawaiian the kind girl tried to offer me. Also, my bad to JJ who undoubtedly got slammed with guilt when he got back from his break. I’m from out of town, but when I come back I’ll make up for it! Also, everything tasted amazing!

I do not live in Athens but visit frequently and have ordered large carryout orders from Avalanche twice now, and both times everything was ready on time and as promised.The pizza is solid, especially for Athens- if you want to try a local option for pizza it's a great choice. The specialties are interesting: I loved the hawaiian and the Supreme was a hit, although we tried the Godzilla and it got mixed reviews- it was a little polarizing but it is an unusual combo. Overall, my biggest complaint is that on our last order the pizzas could have been a little crisper (although I noticed a well done option when ordering online so I'll try that in the future.

Food is great. Just simply incapable of ever being ready when promised. Delivery, pick-up, it doesn't matter. Consistently late. They overpromise and can't deliver. What a waste. If they ever got their act together it would be a good place for pizza. Unfortunately, they can't ever be trusted to have your pizza ready when they claim. Avoid.
